Luigi's Mansion 3 Release Date Confirmed

After almost a year since the initial announcement, Nintendo finally confirms the release date of Luigi's Mansion 3, which is set to hit the Nintendo Switch this year.

Several days ago, reports surfaced about the possible release date of Nintendo's upcoming Switch exclusive, Luigi's Mansion 3. Now the company finally revealed that the game is set to launch on October 31, 2019, just in time for Halloween.

Of course, given the game's spooky elements, it is just appropriate that Nintendo decided to deliver Luigi's Mansion 3 in time for the spookiest day of the year. The game will see Luigi, Mario, and the rest of the gang embark on a dream vacation after receiving an invitation to stay at a luxurious hotel. However, things quickly turn sour after it is revealed that everything was just just a trap set by none other than King Boo himself.

Just like its predecessors, Luigi's Mansion 3 is an action-adventure game that is set on a haunted hotel, this one called the Last Resort. The upcoming game will feature an open-ended level structure, where each floor of the gigantic hotel features a different theme and a variety of gameplay mechanics. Nintendo confirmed that Luigi's Mansion 3 will see the return of the fan-favorite ScareScraper mode, a feature that was first introduced in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon for the 3DS.

At last month's E3 2019, Nintendo released a brand new trailer for Luigi's Mansion 3, giving players a more in-depth preview of all the features that are in store in the upcoming game. Among the many exciting gameplay elements, the trailer revealed that Luigi will have the ability to create another version of himself called Googi that will have its own set of unique abilities. The trailer also confirmed a co-op feature, allowing players to use a single Joy-Con each to control both Luigi and Googi.

The release of Luigi's Mansion 3 is just one of the many exciting Switch exclusive games heading to the console soon. While 2017 and 2018 were considered strong years for Nintendo's hybrid console, it appears that 2019 and 2020 will bring even more exciting additions to the Switch's library, with the upcoming release of games such as Pokemon Sword and Shield, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and many more.

Luigi's Mansion 3 is set to release on October 31, 2019, exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
