Twitch streamer Ludwig's subathon may have just come to an end after 30 days of non-stop streaming, but as fans wait to see what Ludwig will do next, the streamer and his team are getting some well earned, off-camera, rest. Early on in the subathon, Ludwig broke down the costs and expenses associated with his subathon and where some of the money earned would be going. It turns out, that Ludwig's team of moderators are being recognized for their hard work right away, and one in particular is already seeing their life improve.

Ludwig's stream featured a little bit of everything, from gaming to workouts, eating to sleeping, it really has followed nearly every moment of a person's life for a month straight. During the hours when Ludwig needed to sleep, his team of moderators took over control of the stream, and would engage with chat, keeping a crowd of nearly 20,000 viewers entertained. They played a key role in the subathon, as there were times when Ludwig's adventure nearly ended early, so keeping subs rolling in was an important task for the moderators.

Now, in the immediate aftermath of the subathon, it seems that Ludwig is already doling out payments to his team of moderators, and that money is making a big difference. One mod, going by BBarbs, has finally been able to pull himself out of credit card debt with the earnings from the subathon. Given that Ludwig was able to break Ninja's record for subs on Twitch, there is a lot of money in the pot to be divvied up, which makes it a feel good story to hear that his mods are getting their due.

Mods occupy a strange place on Twitch, helping keep a streamer's chat in line, sometimes keeping stats for the streamer, making sure that stream titles are accurate and bot commands work properly. They are important to the smooth operation of a stream, but it is mostly thankless work, and unless the streamer is quite prolific, any kind of compensation is minimal at best. Ludwig's mods found themselves in the spotlight thanks to their heavy lifting to keep the subathon moving along.

With the subathon now over, Ludwig has already said that he will not be doing another, as he says any attempt to replicate this unbelievable event will not be able to ever live up to the hype. The only exception being if he could somehow do a subathon from outer space, something his mod team would surely be ready for should they be called into action again.
