In Blizzard Entertainment's multiplayer shooter, Overwatch, Lúcio Correia dos Santos is a superstar DJ. So famous is the healing skater, in fact, that he even has his own cereal called Lucio-Oh's. The cereal is referred to in the game as there are unlockable cosmetics and sprays that let players plaster the walls with the design of the box. But it seems that the cereal could soon be making the jump from game to real-life.

The upcoming release of the real Lucio-Oh's cereal has leaked via an online catalog for school food, where schools purchase meals in bulk. The listing confirms that Lucio-Oh's will be made by Kellogg's Cereal, while a promotion listing on the box suggests that the Overwatch merch will go on sale on December 3, 2018.

According to the side of the box, boxes of Lucio-Oh's purchased between December 3, 2018 and December 31, 2019 will include a free Overwatch loot boost. Buyers will have to take a photo of their receipt and the box and submit it online for a loot boost that grants players with an additional loot box the next three times that they level up. Players then have 72 hours to use the boost but they can be redeemed until January 30, 2020. As such, it sounds as though players could hoard their boxes and receipts until the next Overwatch seasonal event goes live, giving them a better chance to bag the limited time loot.

Overwatch Lucio-Oh's cereal box

As for the flavor and taste of the cereal, Lucio-Oh's apparently feature artificially flavored "Sonic Vanilla" pieces alongside the green and yellow hoops. Disappointingly for international Overwatch fans, it's unclear whether the cereal will be available worldwide. Though, it would seem like a missed opportunity not to sell the cereal outside of North America given that there are more than 40 million Overwatch players around the world.

Many will be wondering what other officially licensed Overwatch snacks Blizzard could release in future. Meanwhile, in real life, some Overwatch fans founded the church of Hanzo so the popular archer may also lead to official merch flying off the shelves.

Overwatch is available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
