After reaching the midway point in Lost Judgment's fourth chapter, players will be able to initiate the "Where the Kappa Roam" side case by heading to the blue quest marker at the intersection of N. Sakura River and Tsurukame Bridge. Upon their arrival, they'll find two men fighting over a hideous-looking statue and will need to beat up the drunk guy in order to progress the case.

After Tak rescues the statue, the other man, who turns out to be a city worker named Kodama, will offer his thanks. He'll then ask for Tak's help tracking down seven other missing Kappa statues, which serve as one of many collectible sets in Lost Judgment. With the help of the Buzz Researcher app and the "Kappa" keyword, they're generally fairly easy to find, although one or two of them may cause players a few problems.

Kappa Statue #2 (Hoisted Kappa)

Once the first one has been found, the next six Kappa statues can be tackled in any order, but the closest is near the homeless camp just south of where the side case begins. As per one of the Chatter posts, there's a man hoisting a statue above his head somewhere in the vicinity, and interacting with him will lead to a chase. After tackling the Kappa thief, the statue will be returned to its rightful home.

Kappa Statue #3 (Plain Sight Kappa)

One of the Chatter posts talks about some Kappa statues being twins and will lead players south to the far end of South Sakura River Street. Near the river's edge, they'll see two statues, one of which isn't supposed to be there. Examining it will lead to Tak calling Kodama's assistant and the statue being taken away.

Kappa Statue #4 (Pawnshop Kappa)

While near the homeless camp, players should check out the Chatter post that mentions "bums talking about Kappa sightings." If they head to the Hangout Spot near the cats, they'll be able to overhear a conversation between two homeless men in which one mentions that he sold a Kappa statue at Benten Pawn. The shop in question is on Misaki Street to the far south of the map and will have the statue on sale for the bargain price of ¥100.

Kappa Statue #5 (Trash Kappa)

The fifth Kappa statue can be found by following a Chatter post in which someone mentions seeing a statue in the trash. This will lead players to East Central Street, where they'll be able to find the statue amongst some garbage bags not too far from the taxi stop.

Kappa Statue #6 (Fishing Kappa)

One chatter post talks about a Kappa's head sticking out of the water, which players can track to the rounded section of the pathway just north of Tsurukame Bridge. There, they'll find a fisherman struggling to reel in his catch and can help out by talking to him. He'll end up pulling a Kappa statue out of the water, which Tak will then hand over to the Kodama Staff Member.

Kappa Statue #7 (Goalkeeper Kappa)

The seventh Kappa statue can be found in front of a soccer goal in the northwest corner of the map. It's right by the drone racing mini-game and will require players to select any one of the three "Hang on a sec!" dialog options before being able to collect it.

Kappa Statue #8 (Detective Kappa)

Once players have found the first seven Kappa statues, they'll need to return to Yokohama 99. There, they'll find the final statue lying on the sofa and, after a short conversation with Tsukumo, can then call Kodama to bring the side case to an end.

As a reward for finding all eight statues, players will receive the Free Pass Voucher 4, which, when combined with the other five free pass vouchers, allows players to enjoy as much Dice & Cube as they like. Playing the VR game is a great way to earn money and a requirement for several of the game's other side cases.
