Now that Lost Ark is officially released in the United States and other parts of the world that previously hadn't had access, the game has mostly seen quite a bit of success. However, the popularity of the new title has caused a few problems when it comes to joining the Lost Ark queues, and that in turn has caused the game to get review bombed on Steam.

Lost Ark was first released in South Korea in 2019 and then moved to Russia and Japan over the last few years. It was finally released in North America and other locations earlier this month after a slight delay that originally saw it planned to go live last fall. Now that it's here, the biggest complaint is that it appears that Amazon didn't quite plan for just how popular it would be, and that's led to people waiting quite a long time to get into the game and experience it for themselves.

While some people were able to play the game a few days ahead of the official launch by purchasing a founder's pack, the free-to-play version of Lost Ark servers have had a number of different issues. That has led those who are quite frustrated with the way the servers have behaved to leave thousands of negative reviews in the last few days.

As one Reddit user pointed out, the Lost Ark server issues have caused the game to go from having an "overwhelmingly positive" review score to "mixed" in just two days. Once the user, inlovewithcindy pointed out that the game had gotten review bombed, several users admitted they liked what they had played, but simply weren't able to spend that much time in the game because of the queues.

That sparked a conversation about whether it was totally fair to give a game a bad review because they weren't able to play it. Several users pointed out that's the kind of thing that absolutely should be a strike against it. Others argued that poorly reviewing a game that was so popular that it didn't have enough server capacity to get in seemed counterintuitive.

Whether it's fair to give a poor review to a game that is having these kinds of issues is up for debate, the game's developers and publisher have said they are examining the issue and hoping to find a resolution soon. In the meantime, people can take some solace is that big streamers like Asmongold and the average user are in the same boat when it comes to just getting into Lost Ark at this point.
