With the release of Amazon Games' and Smilegate's action MMO Lost Ark, players will be gobbling up the content and diving into dungeons quickly. While Lost Ark's dungeons may seem simple at first, they eventually ramp up in difficulty. This may cause some players to want to back out, gear up, and then reattempt the run.

Fortunately, Lost Ark makes it easy to escape dungeons like Morai Ruins and live to tell the harrowing tale. Songs play an important role within Lost Ark, and the Song of Escape is critical in escaping a dungeon.

While many games will build in a natural loop that connects the end of a dungeon to the beginning, making for an easy exit or simply putting a portal at the end, Lost Ark opts for a more unique approach. By playing the Song of Escape, a player will be able to leave the dungeon at any time. This could be in the middle of a run hunting Mokoko Seeds or at the end once it's been completed.

How to Get the Song of Escape

In order to utilize the Song of Escape, players must first acquire it. While there are many Lost Ark songs to learn while exploring Arkesia, this critical song will be the first they learn. Progressing through the main story quest will unlock the song. Specifically, it is made available after completing the Legends and Fairytales segment. Once acquired, players can check for the song and others by pressing F2. This will open up the Sheet Music tab. Players can access the song through this method or drag it to their action bar for easy access.

Lost Ark is more than just pretty faces and music. There is an enormous amount of content to be had in the dungeon crawler, from PvP to raids, dungeons to explorations, base building to resource gathering, and more. Smilegate and Amazon have clearly gone all in with this ambitious project and are keen on Western audiences experiencing the magic that players in South Korea, Japan, and Russia are already familiar with.

A large amount of the gameplay revolves around collecting a variety of items. Seeds, music, resources, and more are there to keep players clicking and playing. It could be argued that this is part of Lost Ark's appeal. By bringing a mature game to a new market, there is a large amount of content that entirely new audiences will be able to enjoy. So for players itching for something meaty to sink their teeth into, Lost Ark is worth a gander.

Lost Ark is available on PC.
