The Rapport System in Smilegate's MMORPG, Lost Ark, is absurdly robust. There are over 70 different NPCs across Arkesia (and who knows if more will be added in future updates) that players can give gifts, perform music for, or emote to in order to increase their Affinity with them.
And, each NPC has different rewards for the four levels of Affinity (which are Neutral, Amicable, Friendly, and Trusted). But, with all these options, which NPCs are the best for players to focus on early in their Lost Ark adventures? Well, let's go over some of the most useful Rapport NPCs in the game, what they give, and why players should try and max them out first.
What Makes One Rapport Option Better Than Another?
So, what exactly makes the Rapport Rewards for one NPC "better" than the rewards from another? Well, it's up to the individual, but most players tend to boil it down to Collectibles, Gold, and Virtue Potions. Collectibles, of course, mean things like Giant's Hearts, Island Souls, and Omnium Stars.
Gold is pretty obvious as to why that would be useful, and Virtue Potions are the Potions that increase a player's Virtue Stats such as Charisma or Courage, allowing them to access secret areas on specific maps or advance their relationship with certain NPCs.
However, those are just the most commonly agreed-upon beneficial rewards. There are also Rapport Rewards like Runes, Cards, Engraving Books, and even Ship Crew Members/Customizations.

This is all to say that there is a wide range of Rapport Rewards that players will find useful, and these are some of the best examples:

And again, there are plenty of other NPCs some players may find more immediately beneficial to max their Rapport, depending on what they're looking for such as Silver, Ship Customizations, or even Phoenix Plumes.
But, based on what their rewards lead to (AKA Giant's Hearts lead to Skill Point Potions and so on), these NPCs absolutely should be maxed out whenever possible.
