A hilarious Genshin Impact fan-art shows the famous wizard Gandalf reviewing some of the strongest weapons in the game. Weapons play a huge part in Genshin Impact and are at the core of each character's build. Every playable unit can use one specific type of weapon and at the moment there are five different weapon types in the game: bow, catalyst, polearm, claymore, and sword.
Genshin Impact weapons can also be divided by rarity with five-star weapons usually being the most powerful items in the game. Players can acquire four-star and five-star weapons by pulling on the game's weapon banners which usually feature seven different items. Each time a new five-star character joins the playable roster, developer HoYoverse also adds a signature weapon that perfectly fits their play style.
A new post by Reddit user Weary_Traveler_404 shows how Gandalf would describe seven different weapons in Genshin Impact. The first reviewed item is the recently introduced sword, Light Of Foliar Incision, which serves as the signature weapon for the new five-star Dendro user Alhaitham. Gandalf describes it as "a fine blade for such a feeble scholar" which refers to Alhaitham's involvement in the Sumeru Akademiya. Besides being one of the most skillful fighters in all of Sumeru, Alhaitham is also known for his high intellect which helps him bend other people's will to further his own goals.
Even though he is a very popular character in the community, Genshin Impact's recent revenue reports revealed that many players skipped Alhaitham's banner. The second weapon on the list is the Aqua Simulacra which was to suit the needs of the popular Hydro bow user Yelan. The weapon's passive effect increases the holder's HP which perfectly fits Yelan's damage scaling. Developer HoYoverse confirmed that she will be featured on the upcoming double banner.
The concept also includes the Staff of Homa polearm which is the signature weapon for Hu Tao, another character confirmed for the second part of Genshin Impact update 3.4. Many fans claim that the upcoming double banner will be stacked with some of the strongest weapons in the game.
The Catch is one of the two four-star weapons reviewed by Gandalf, and it can be used by the Electro Archon Raiden Shogun. Even though her go-to choice is probably the Engulfing Lightning, Raiden can also perform well when equipped with The Catch. The best thing about this weapon is probably the fact that players can acquire it for free by completing some of the quests.
Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
