As players make their way around the loop in Loop Hero, they will gain various resources that can be used to build structures in their camps. These structures provide numerous benefits, such as unlocking new cards and systems, when established, and indeed they will help fans considerably in their runs. For those players that may be curious about how they should prioritize their building in the early stages of Loop Hero, this guide contains some recommendations.

Before getting into those recommendations, though, it is important to note that players will ultimately want access to all of the structures at the bottom of Loop Hero's building menu. As such, fans should not feel beholden to strictly what is outlined below if they find that taking a different path strikes their fancy. Indeed, while players should be mostly satisfied with the results that the build order detailed in this guide produces, there are many other approaches to setting up a camp in this unique roguelike that are completely viable.

With that established, it is advisable that players make the Herbalist's Hut their first building, as it will give them access to Potions in Loop Hero. These items automatically heal the Hero when they fall to low health, improving their survivability considerably. While it is true that only a limited number of Potions can be carried at one time, several are replenished upon completion of a loop, making them a very powerful addition to a player's early-game arsenal.

From there, it is recommended that fans set their sights on the Gymnasium, which unlocks the ability to gain "special traits" after killing enough monsters. These traits provide a variety of effects, improving offense, increasing defense, and much more, giving players big advantages throughout their runs. Notably, Loop Hero fans that build the Gymnasium will also earn the Village card, which restores HP and offers quests that can be completed for rare rewards.

With these two structures built, players can then turn their attention to the Field Kitchen and Smithy for some extra survivability, a starting set of equipment, and the powerful Blood Grove card. They can then close out the initial building phase by establishing a Supply Depot and Mud Huts in order to begin collecting artifacts. At that point, things really open up, and fans can decide if they want to build a Smelter and gain more equipment slots in Loop Hero or pursue something else altogether.

Loop Hero is available now on PC.
