It has been almost two weeks since the season finale of Loki premiered on Disney Plus and fans are still talking about that loaded episode. The Multiverse has officially been introduced and the most popular fan theory about Kang the Conqueror finally entering the Marvel Cinematic Universe was proven right. But, a new trend seems to have taken over social media now that connects the episode with the finale of the first Marvel Studios series, WandaVision.

The final moments of the Loki finale brought forth the concept of the Multiverse, with He Who Remains informing the God of Mischief and Sylvie that they had “crossed the threshold.” When the episode first aired, fans found this moment to be a bit strange and wondered what caused the sudden push towards alternate branches of reality. But, some keen-eyed Marvel fans compared the episode to the finale of WandaVision and found a similarity between the two series.

Many fans have shared side-by-side clips from the final episodes of both series. At around the 27-minute mark, it almost seems like the two episodes synchronize. In WandaVision, the scene at around that time shows Wanda fighting Agatha Harkness, the powerful witch portrayed by Kathryn Hahn, and embracing her true power to reveal her Scarlet Witch avatar for the first time in the MCU. Meanwhile, in Loki, the scene plays out with He Who Remains suddenly going quiet and realizing that it is the critical moment when he is no longer in charge of the sacred timeline.

The clips even end with Agatha hitting the ground at the same time He Who Remains drops an object on his desk. The editing seems seamless and can’t be a coincidence, right? Marvel fans are convinced that these two moments are intentionally connected and Wanda is the one responsible for the complete chaos in the timeline shown in Loki. Her journey to becoming the Scarlet Witch is what they believe caused the crack in the sacred timeline and led to the end of He Who Remains' foresight.

It seems like a probable theory since Wanda does possess chaos magic now and is seen delving into her powers to track her twins at the end of the series. At this point, fans are also aware that Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda is a Nexus Being and possesses the power to travel through the Multiverse, and possibly even alter the future.

She will be seen next in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. While Marvel hasn’t confirmed the connection, it has Marvel fans exchanging theories about the MCU’s future already.

Loki is now streaming on Disney Plus.
