Ever since the first Loki trailers started surfacing, Marvel fans knew they would be getting plenty of God of Mischiefs to stare at throughout the course of the series. So with episode five paying off that promise, new posters for all the standout Loki variants have just been released.

Chief among these alternate versions of the character was Richard E. Grant's Classic Loki. Not only was the role a prime opportunity to showcase the full might of the trickster's power, but the character was loved by fans so much they want him to be at the center of Loki's resolution. However, with the show's finale hyping up a possible reveal of future MCU villain Kang the Conqueror, that particular scenario is looking increasingly unlikely.

Not that it matters too much for producers, especially since the show’s social media accounts took care of commemorating the variants' brief but substantial contributions to Sylvie and the original God of Mischiefs story arc with some classy posters. Of course, this includes Classic Loki, Boastful Loki (DeObia Oparei), Kid Loki (Jack Veal), President Loki, and the coolest blooded of them all, the beloved Alligator Loki.

Of course, the fifth episode of the series had plenty of other variants show up to get in Tom Hiddleston’s way, but it’s this pack of mischievous backstabbers who cracked up audiences with almost every line of dialogue they uttered. Sadly, the gesture behind these posters makes it look more like Marvel Studios is putting an end to these characters' chapters, at least until the series is officially confirmed to be getting another season in the future.

It’s unclear if any more variants will be introduced in the show’s season finale, though with an entire unresolved plot for the original trickster and Sylvie, plus Mobius’ own pending revenge against the TVA and Ravonna Renslayer, that does seem unlikely. After all, the show already had to scrap a Frog Thor scene from the final cut, so there’s probably not a lot of runtime to play around with.

With Alioth’s introduction into the MCU, there doesn’t appear to be much room left to guess who Loki's real villain really will be. The previous two Marvel series on Disney Plus did not come with a spectacular reveal in their respective endings, despite both WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier still managing to close their chapters in a satisfying manner, so in any case, let’s hope the God of Mischief's finale borrows more from those two instead of taking too many cues from The Simpsons.
