The cast and crew of the highly-anticipated Disney Plus series Loki are taking fans behind the scenes in a new featurette released by Marvel Studios. The minute-long video offers glimpses of the action and chaos that fans can expect from the series, which premieres on the streaming service soon.

One thing that remains consistent is Loki’s cheeky and mischievous nature, with the character retaining his sneaky ways from his previous appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. “This is something I don’t think Marvel has ever done,” Hiddleston is heard saying in the video, with the actors seemingly having a lot of fun while shooting for the project.

Having the Asgardian prince show up in a world that is trying to fix the MCU’s “sacred timeline” should be interesting to watch as he is usually up to no good. Loki is the God of Mischief and known for his antics so, as Hiddleston says in the video, he had to do “mischievous things.” Can he be trusted, though? Fans are skeptical, and so is Owen Wilson’s Agent Mobius M. Mobius, who points out that Loki has “literally stabbed people in the back like 50 times.”

Loki will be the first solo project for Hiddleston's titular character after having appeared in multiple MCU projects, including all the films in both the Thor and the Avengers franchises. The series will be set after the events of Avengers: Endgame, where an alternate version of Loki was last seen stealing the Tesseract and using it to escape captivity. Traveling in time might have helped him escape, but he will soon be encountering the Time Variance Authority, which is the team assigned to ensure that the MCU timeline is not altered.

Previously released Loki trailers and clips have confirmed that the character will be working alongside the TVA to fix the timeline that he broke, but he will evidently be having a lot of fun while doing so. The featurette offers a look at both Loki and Agent Mobius cracking silly jokes, a tone that fans of the MCU have gotten used to over the past decade. Loki is probably the only MCU character who has jumped ship between good and evil multiple times, and it will be a delight for fans to see him back at it.

While Hiddleston will be returning to reprise his popular role, the Disney Plus series will be adding new members to the MCU. Gugu Mbatha-Raw joins as Judge Ravonna Renslayer, Wilson will be playing Agent Mobius and Kate Herron, who has previously worked on Netflix’s Sex Education, was brought on as director.  The six-episode season arrives on the streaming service next week, and it finally gives Loki a chance to step out of his brother Thor’s shadow. Can he truly change his ways? Fans will find out soon enough.

Loki premieres on Disney Plus on June 9, 2021.
