Lois Lane and Superman are by far the most iconic DC couple. They've appeared side by side in multiple live-action movies, not to mention thousands of comic books. Lois and Superman simply belong together and their romance, why not without its difficulties, is very popular among the fans.
However, there's much more to Lois Lane than just her friendship and romance with Superman/Clark Kent. Lois is, first and foremost, a talented journalist who excels at what she does. She works hard to make it and even though she has no powers, she's not afraid to fight. Lois has plenty of fans and they weren't shy to make hilarious memes with her.
10 It's All About Priorities
Relationships are difficult enough even if one partner in the couple isn't a superhero. Superman is busy enough. He has his day job at the Daily Planet and he saves the world and people on regular basis. Lois Lane usually gets that and she knows that what Superman does is important. She also has her own things going on, excels at her job. But it's still funny to see Superman tread dangerous waters when he doesn't know what to say in order not to insult Lois.
9 A Potential Enemy
Lois should better watch out. Clark Kent is faithful to her but he has a weakness. Clark has a soft spot for people with long hair whose names form an alliteration. Especially those with two Ls in their names. It happened with Lana Lang, then with Lois Lane - and it could also happen with Lex Luthor. At least according to this meme. Luckily for Lois, Lex no longer has long hair. So Lois can rest peacefully. Until someone else with this type of name crosses Superman's path.
8 Reality Vs. Wish
People like to put expectations on others. Lois does her best in the DCEU to build a successful career. But not all people want to be like her. Some girls and women would prefer to be like Harley Quinn instead. Free-spirited and wild, doing whatever she wants. But society and one's parents usually encourage people to be like sensible and hard-working Lois instead. There's nothing wrong with that. Even though it's more than possible Harley has much more fun than Lois.
7 Not That Good A Reporter
For a supposedly brilliant reporter, Lois isn't so good at her job in the older Superman movies. Not only does she struggle with grammar but she's unable to notice her colleague is Superman.
Even though Clark himself gives her multiple clues over time. Maybe it's because she never paid enough attention to him, in which case, the joke's on her.
6 Best Defense
When superheroes fight their enemies, they'd better have a secret triumph hidden somewhere. When the Avengers fought Loki back in 2012, their best weapon was Hulk. But when Tony Stark shares this with Lois, she's not impressed. Lois believes that Superman could easily take care of Hulk and their enemies without breaking a sweat. And if there's no kryptonite involved in the battle, she's probably right.
5 Strictly Forbidden
Killing Lois Lane is a big no-no. Even though it did happen in the comics before, it was under unique circumstances. Joker toyed with Superman and he made him kill Lois. When Superman realized what happened, he went insane with grief and rage. The films are much more careful, and they would never kill Lois. Case in point - when it looked like she would die, Superman turned back time and saved her. One does not simply kill Lois Lane - not if they want to survive.
4 It's Rewind Time
Speaking of turning back time, the scene became notorious. It's a weak point in the otherwise classic movie Superman (1978). It also begs the question - if Superman can turn back time, why doesn't he do it more often? He could save many lives that way.
Unless it's too exhausting for him and he can do it only sometimes. No, it still doesn't make sense. But at least Lois survived.
3 How It Really Happened
For all those who wondered how Lois could not have realized Clark Kent was Superman... here's the answer! Lois knew all along but she didn't say anything because she wanted to protect Clark's feelings, his ego. If Clark knew his disguise wasn't working and Lois saw right through it, he would probably panic. Or he would be disappointed. So it's for the best of things Lois doesn't immediately confront him about it in the movies.
2 Go, Lois!
If people believe the DCEU films aren't giving Lois Lane her due... They might be surprised to hear she had more dialogue in Justice League (2017) than Superman himself! Granted, most of it was Lois missing her boyfriend and then talking to her resurrected boyfriend, but it still counts. It would be interesting to see more of her work and other aspects of her but for now, this will have to do. At least until Superman and Lois premiere and will provide material for plenty of new memes.
1 To Ship Or Not To Ship
Whether an iconic character will romance one person or another often leads to arguments among the fans. Superman and Lois are a legendary couple. So much so many people were furious when Superman and Wonder Woman got together in the comics. That would explain why Superman and Wonder Woman barely talks in the DCEU, unlike Wonder Woman and Batman. Fans can take these details very seriously, and the arguments can easily turn ugly.
