As video games are made to be more and more realistic with improved audio design and consoles begin to include neat features such as the PS5's 3D audio, having a good pair of earphones or headphones is a must for audiophiles. Many of the high-quality earphones can come at a high cost, which can be unappealing for some consumers looking to upgrade their gaming sound quality. However, Logitech's latest gaming earbuds, the G333 model, is great for gamers to get quality sound for a decent price, but it comes with just a few drawbacks.
The Logitech G333 earphones are made to work with video games and consoles like the Nintendo Switch and PS5. The pair of earbuds fit snugly into the ears, and the package comes with two additional fitted ear tips, so that people can choose the size that fits the best. And like most other earphones, there's a mic that allows people to chat online with friends or take phone calls and is controllable via two volume buttons and a middle button that can be pressed to pause/mute sound or for skipping songs on a playlist.
The wire itself for the earphones feels high-quality and doesn't easily tangle up like other headphones. However, while using the earphones during a gaming session, touching the wire or nudging it in any way can mess up the experience, as the sound carries from the wire to the actual earbuds. It can certainly be an issue for those that tend to move around a lot while playing games. Thankfully, the wire isn't super long or too short, so players should be able to easily adjust the wire to make sure it's not touching anything to ruin the sound coming in from the game.
The earphone package comes included with a USB-C adaptor that connects to the bottom of the earphones 3.5 mm plug. By having both of these options, many people should be able to connect it to most devices, besides the newer iPhones since that port is entirely different. The sound quality itself is quite good, with the volume levels being able to get very high for those that like to crank up the noise. Playing a game like Resident Evil Village, for example, is a treat for the ears.
The enemies surrounding the player can be found by simply listening to the direction of their noises, and the earphones do a great job of delivering rich details in the sound. One thing to note, however, is that the sound can get a little muddled if the volume is raised too high, or if too many things are happening at once in a game, and the bass isn't where it needs to be.
Being that the product does retail for $49.99, the little issues are just a small price to pay. Logitech's G333 provides consumers with a product that has very high-quality sounds, a decent-sounding microphone, and the earbuds block out most sounds to put players into the action and fully immerse them into the game.
