Locke and Key season 2 will be releasing soon and with that comes a new trailer, which brings out all of the big guns. This trailer for season 2 of Locke and Key promises new magic, new keys, more lore exploration, and of course, more terrors.
Locke and Key season 2 will be debuting this fall with a new set of plot points that will look to open up the world established in the first season. The Netflix trailer revealed numerous powers and keys being utilized and made. Fans got another glimpse at the key forgery and one key being used to shapeshift.
Fans should also know Locke and Key was renewed for season 3 by Netflix. The show has done a good job at establishing a unique world that is familiar to fans of properties such as Harry Potter or Stranger Things. Both properties are known for displaying vast world-building along with high levels of magic and sorcery. The trailer for Locke and Key season 2 brings out a lot of the big guns in order to build anticipation for the upcoming season. A nice touch is that the trailer has a lot of minor scares, which is right on brand for the show. The return of Locke and Key arrives at the perfect time, as the show will release a week before Halloween and is set during the fall season. It makes for the perfect weekend watch for those looking to get into the Halloween and fall spirit.
As far as horror goes, there looks to be a lot of releases coming this October to make for even the most casual horror fan satisfied. These releases include Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin, Halloween Kills, and now Locke and Key Season 2. There are also more releases during these past few months that put the horror/thriller aspect of media on the map, including Candyman and You season 3, to name a few.
Hopefully, Locke and Key fans don't get too overwhelmed and the third season comes at a perfect time when anticipation is still high instead of it being too early or too late. The pandemic has halted many productions, and it appears that nobody is safe. So, hopefully, there won't be another lockdown. If there is, then fans should expect Locke and Key season 3 to arrive as later than anticipated.
