The Way of the Househusband manga is getting the live-action treatment. A film based on this series is coming to Japanese theaters on June 3. Sony Japan has released the official trailer to their YouTube Channel on Monday.

Way of the Househusband focuses on Tatsu, or as he is known in the yakuza, "Immortal Dragon". Having recently retired from his dangerous life as the most feared gangster in the yakuza, Tatsu is now quietly spending his days as a humble stay-at-home husband. With his only problems being what to prepare for dinner that evening, Tatsu takes his new role very seriously and strives to become a master in all household duties. This surprises his old colleagues and few even know of his modest new lifestyle.

Kousuke Oono's Way of the Househusband manga debuted in Shinchosa's Kurage Bunch online magazine in 2018. The manga is being translated into English by Viz Media. This is not the first time the series was adapted into a live-action project. The manga's success spawned a live-action series in October 2020 on NTV, which earned Tamaki Shiratori a Young Artist Award nomination for Best Performance in a TV Series (Recurring Young Actress) category for her role as Himawari. The anime adaptation of Way of the Househusband was released by Netflix in 2021.

The poster for the film was released on its official website. The trailer also features the anime's theme song, "2way nice guy" by Creepy Nuts. By the looks of the trailer, the film should be as funny as it is action-packed.
