Bethesda's successor to Oblivion, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is going to be one of November's biggest games and anticipation for the title has already reached a fever pitch. We here at Game Rant are pretty excited, and can't wait to see what's in store for us in the land of Tamriel.

Indeed it appears as though Bethesda is pulling out all the stops in their last marketing push for the game leading up to the release, and today they have released a new live-action Skyrim trailer. It features everything you would expect from a trailer including church bells ringing in alarm, panicked masses, and a lone bad-ass standing up to a dragon.

Oh and about that bad ass...he's your character! Take a look at the trailer embedded below, which highlights the obvious fact that dragons play a central role to the story in Skyrim as the game's plot revolves around the dragonborn player character fighting off a horde of dragons being summoned by a Norse god of destruction. All of the events are foretold by the infamous Elder Scrolls and it's up to the player to see how everything concludes. Skyrim is not a direct sequel to Oblivion as the story takes place 200 years later with an entirely new story based on the events of the previous games.

Bethesda has already revealed the race abilities and perk trees and the world map of Skyrim for eager fans to get a headstart at planning out their character creation and journey. The achievement list for the game was also leaked earlier this month, alongside the game's manual.

If you're as eager as we are with the game only a few weeks away, check out The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim collector's edition to see if it's worthy of your pre-order.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim begins its quest November 11, 2011 for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
