In an effort to help gamers cope with the delay of the highly anticipated LittleBigPlanet 2, Sony has pulled the curtain back on several goodies for PlayStation Network starring Sackboy. Today's PlayStation Blog post unveils Sony's plans to expand LittleBigPlanet 2's beta test, launch an LBP2 demo, and they even announced a new game entitled Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves, exclusive to PSN.

Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves is a cooperative experience, enriched with Sony's PlayStation Move peripheral. Over the course of 10 dinosaur-themed levels, gamers and their friends will navigate Sackboy through volcanoes and jungles. One player uses a Move controller and interacts with the environment to help the other DualShock 3-wielding gamers make their way to the end of the stage. Up to five gamers can enjoy Prehistoric Moves together, but remember, a PlayStation Move and at least one DualShock 3 are required to play. Sackboy will be available to download from PSN on December 14th, 2010, for $5.99, but if you don't feel like spending the money Sony is including the game on the LittleBigPlanet 2 disc.

Sony also teased a demo for LBP2. On December 21st, 2010, the demo will be available to download, showing off the game's story mode. Additionally, the LBP2 demo will give those who download it the opportunity to experiment with Sackboy's new grappling hook and the Creatinator.

Finally, Sony will expand the LittleBigPlanet 2 beta test in early December. Invites will be sent to PlayStation Plus subscribers first, and then "community contributors" (official forum members?). Sony will also be giving away invites, probably via their blog or maybe even Twitter.

How do you feel about Sony's announcements today, Ranters? Will you be buying Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves, or will you just wait until LittleBigPlanet 2 is launched?
