After the release of the first game in 2017, comics were published by Titan Comics. This first round of comics featured Six and detailed more of her story on The Maw, the ship from the first game. Unfortunately, this series was canceled after only two issues. This series was intended to run for a total of four issues but had the plug pulled prematurely.
The new series, formally titled "Little Nightmares Comics," focuses on the events and characters of Little Nightmares 2. This series ran for its intended six issues and also was distributed digitally this time around to help be more accessible.

The six issues of the comic don't waste any time in fully immersing the reader. Even the simple menu to choose each episode is beautifully animated and accompanied by haunting music. This comic reads as a dynamic experience and feels like a true extension of the game and not just a simple side project.
The reader scrolls through each panel as music amps up and changes as the comic progresses through the story. Each panel is animated ever so slightly to give a subtle yet dynamic effect of movement. It avoids static panels as it can sometimes stifle the world-building and ruin some of the experience. 4 It Serves As A Prequel To The Events In Little Nightmares 2
Little Nightmares 2 begins with Mono waking up in the woods and setting off to begin his journey. However, little is known about how Six ended up as The Hunter's prisoner in the first place.
The first episode of the comic series focuses on the original game's protagonist, Six, and her first run-in with The Hunter. This episode also shows the instance in which Six first sees Mono. Apparently, the moment Mono rescues Six (seen in the game) isn't the first time the two had actually met.
3 It Tells The Tales Of Other Children
Not only do the comics allow readers to learn more about Mono and Six, but they also get a glimpse into the lives of the other tortured children that are subjected to the harsh world of the Pale City.
Each new episode is dedicated to a new character, showing their story as they try to escape to a safe haven. It's always been a question among fans if Six, Mono, and Seven (the character featured in the Little Nightmares DLC) were the only "normal" children left in their world; these comics finally answer this question.

Some of the most intense parts of the comic series are the various cameos the games' bosses get throughout the episodes. Their appearances are chilling, their animations and accompanying music truly do their menacing presence justice and doesn't take anyway any level of immersion.
Their appearances, although brief, are just as terrifying as their battles in the games. Even without having to worry about evading and hiding from these monsters, the comics make the experience so detailed, their presence is still somehow just as scary.
