Launching in February next year, Little Nightmares 2 looks to expand upon the terrifying base Tarsier Studios first cemented in the original game back in 2017. This time around, players will assume the role of Mono, as they're joined by returning protagonist Six in a new adventure that takes players to an unsettling new locale in the franchise's universe.

Those who can't wait to get their hands on the sequel to Tarsier's original horror gem won't have to wait much longer, with publisher Bandai Namco announcing that a demo for the title is out right now. The playable teaser is available on both Steam and GOG, with PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch demos releasing early next year.

The slice of gameplay itself will showcase one of the set pieces highlighted in the sequel's most recent trailer, which the company confirms happens towards the beginning of the sequel's campaign. It will see Mono going head to head with "The Hunter," exploring the foe's eerie cabin as the protagonist embarks on a perilous journey to The Pale City. A press release from Bandai Namco confirms that the franchise's seminal monsters will feature in the demo, so those looking for an authentic Little Nightmares experience will definitely have a lot to chew on.

Little Nightmares 2 itself looks to be just as disturbing as its predecessor, with early footage showcasing nightmarish enemies, repulsive environments, and a worthy expansion of the game's mysterious story. Those who want to go into the title fresh won't have to wait long until the full version is in their hands, with the sequel set to launch in just two months' time.

Little Nightmares 2 will be available on February 11, 2021, for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, with Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 ports also in development.
