After conquering the charts with Old Town Road in March 2019 over 20 years ago,  Lil' Nas X has announced a follow up to his pop culture dominating mega hit. And there's a welcome appearance in the trailer from another famous screen cowboy, Michael J Fox.

The trailer, titled The Origins of "Holiday", opens with the sample behind Old Town Road (34 from the Nine Inch Nails album Ghosts I-IV if you've ever wondered) and sees Lil' Nas X ride through a time portal into the wild west. A white bearded fellow in red is thrown out of a bar and his pointed cap (called a pileus if you've ever wondered) is picked up by Nas and the nametag magically changes to Santa Nas X and informs him he is the new Santa. Santa Nas X then flies away in his new sleigh while we hear a snip of the forthcoming track before Michael J Fox warns him not to go to 2020. If only we were also warned...

In a further nod to the Back to the Future series, Christopher Lloyd, AKA Emmett Lathrop "Doc" Brown, shared the video on his Twitter account adding "Always remember @lilnasx, the future is what you make it!" And Marty McFly himself Michael J Fox said "It’s always a good time when you travel back to the past. Thrilled to be a part of this! Good luck in the future  ⁦😁 @LilNasX"

It's a sure bet that there'll be an impressive video released alongside the track when it drops on Nov 13 and maybe we'll see more of Fox as Clint Eastwood there. Until then, it's time to start practicing your best moves for the deluge of TikTok videos that'll no doubt arise out of this.

Holiday will be released on Nov 13 and is available to pre-save on Spotify now. More info at http://www.santanasx.com/
