Life is Strange: True Colors is primarily about solving the mystery of Gabe's death but also lets them explore the idyllic town of Haven Springs. As well as Zen Spots to chill in, there are collectibles and bonus character interactions that provide a little more backstory for the residents. Some can even earn players Trophies or Achievements.

As well as finding the missing dog in Chapter 2, Alex can help a birdwatcher find a hawk somewhere in the town. This is a missable Trophy/Achievement that can only be earned in the second chapter. Don't worry if it was missed during a playthrough, as every chapter can be repeated from the main menu without affecting player choices.

The birdwatcher can be found in the park after Alex has helped Steph in Chapter 2 of Life is Strange: True Colors. She is just south of the couple having a picnic, looking towards the main street of the town. Talk with her to activate the optional story.

Make sure to complete this task before confronting Mac, as this will continue the story and end the chance to complete any optional activities around Haven Springs, including finding some Memory collectibles in Life is Strange: True Colors.

After picking up the side story from the birdwatcher in the park, walk down the main street until Alex can turn into an alleyway. Head all the way to the back and players will hear some loud squawking. It's a little hard to spot, but the bird is in a tree above the shopping cart with garbage bags in it, at the end of the small pathway. Players can also find Riley to talk about Mac's fear nearby, or they can wait until the story prompts them to look for her.

Look up to interact with the bird. Alex will make a comment that she should tell the birdwatcher what she has found. Head back to the lady with the binoculars in the park. Telling her where the bird is will earn players the "Bird Spotting" Trophy/Achievement. She will make her way to the hawk, but there is no additional dialogue awaiting players if they follow her.

After finding the bird and returning the missing dog, there are no other missable Trophies/Achievements to find in the chapter. Players can explore Haven Springs for as long as they like, but they will eventually have to help Eleanor in Chapter 2 of Life is Strange: True Colors to progress with the story.

Life is Strange: True Colors is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and will release later for Switch.
