It may be a story-rich game that relies on decision making as its main gameplay mechanic, but there are still plenty of hidden collectibles to find in Life is Strange: True Colors. These Memories are scattered about each chapter.

As Alex has empathic abilities in Life is Strange: True Colors, these random items actually offer her a glimpse into their owner's feelings. There are 5 to collect in Chapter 1, but don't worry if some were missed. Any chapter can be repeated from the main menu to search for Memories and missable Trophies/Achievements, without affecting previous player choices.

Remember to hold down the button that lets Alex see emotions when a Memory is located (L2/LT on consoles). This is her supernatural power in the Life is Strange universe, and using it will reveal a glow that can be interacted with. There are 7 Trophies/Achievements that can be earned by finding all Memories in Chapter 1.

The second collectible Memory is a letter from Riley to Gabe. It is found below the lamp on the desk opposite the bed in Gabe's apartment. Just like the Crack, the letter can be interacted with while Alex is unpacking, or searching for Duckie's whiskey after trying to get the correct Duckie and Diane order. The Trophy/Achievement attached to it is called "A Letter To Riley".

Memory 3 - Business Card (Black Lantern Bar)

This Memory can be found while exploring the main area of the Black Lantern bar, after Alex has unpacked. Once Jed has stopped talking to Alex, head to the left of the counter, and players will spot the Business Card Memory beside the computer monitor. The "Officer Fish" Trophy/Achievement will unlock after interacting with the card. While at the bar, players can also try and win the jukebox game with Steph.

Memory 4 - Helmet (Mining Area)

The story will take Alex, Gabe, and Ryan to a mining area. As soon as players take control of Alex, they should approach Gabe and Ryan. To the left of the pair, under a large yellow pipe is a Helmet, the fourth collectible Memory in Life is Strange: True Colors. This will unlock the "Head Count" Trophy/Achievement.

MEMORY 5 - Phone (Mining Area)

Alex and Ryan will find an entrance to the nearby building. After the cutscene plays out and players have control of Alex again, they should turn around to find a Phone, the fifth and final Memory in Chapter 1. It's halfway up the wall, beside the entrance the pair just crawled through. Interacting with it will unlock the "Phone" Trophy/Achievement.

As Life is Strange: True Colors takes a less episodic approach to storytelling, players can immediately jump into the next chapter and start looking for more collectibles. Once all 5 Memories are collected in Chapter 1 of Life is Strange: True Colors, players will earn the "Emotional Enthusiast" Trophy/Achievement. Once every Memory in the game has been found, "Haven Historian" will unlock.

Life is Strange: True Colors is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and will release later for Switch.
