Think This Liara 'Mass Effect' Figure is Too 'Busty'? Let BioWare Know

Vote On Mass Effect 3 Liara T'soni Figure

Continuing their tradition of fan suggestion intake and creating products from high-profile properties, BioWare is taking that approach and applying it to the world of prototype figures for the Mass Effect universe. The character in question? The naive Asari scientist turned Shadowbroker who may or may not have been your romantic interest is getting a figure commission and BioWare wants to know what you think about it. Presumably to make sure it looks as good as it can, but there could be other reasons, as well.

The company who has created the prototype model, Kotobukiya, has taken the "bishoujo" approach to Liara T'Soni. What exactly is bishoujo? Well, 'bishoujo' refers to young and pretty females. The kind of females who embody the anime stereotype, usually. As you will see below in the pictures, Kotobukiya has taken a pretty interesting direction with Liara, one that fans of Mass Effect 3 might not get to see on store shelves. Again, you can totally let BioWare know what you think of the figure and there's bound to be some kind of measures taken to ensure that changes will be made.

Liara T'Soni isn't the only one to receive some new attention. The officially voted-on FemShep model was released a few days ago, which is already a pretty significant instance of BioWare letting fans decide on what they want in the final game. Take a look at the gallery below to see a slightly different side to Liara T'Soni, as seen in Japan. To make your opinion heard, be sure to check out the official Mass Effect Facebook page.

The art design might not be for everyone and that's okay, that's why BioWare's letting you vote on the design - most likely to ensure that units will sell and that they didn't just buy a million units of a figure that will sit in a warehouse.

After you cast your vote, make sure you check out some more Mass Effect 3 information, including the potential for the Reapers winning or some of the latest screens for the game from PAX Prime 2011.

Mass Effect 3 releases March 12, 2012 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
