Besides their adorable charm and ease of approachability, LEGO games are beloved for their faithful yet creative adaptations of popular films and franchises. Players have already had an opportunity to see how certain scenes from Star Wars films would play out in LEGO Star Wars' five prior installments.

LEGO Star Wars has already previously covered the prequel and original trilogies, the combined efforts of both, The Clone Wars' film and series adaptations, and also The Force Awakens. But with the release of The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker, TT Games has decided to cap off the nine-film theatrical run with a comprehensive entry, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, that encapsulates them all. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga's latest trailer dives into the dark side villains fans know and love, and show how its unique spin will depict each character this time around.

Darth Vader, Darth Maul, Count Dooku, and Emperor Palpatine—these are only a few of the iconic characters featured in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga's newest trailer, which focuses solely on villains from the dark side whom players will battle within different film series' and also play as at their will. But as LEGO fans know, these characters are offered whimsical interpretation in adorable spoofs synonymous with LEGO adaptations; for example, Kylo Ren expresses agitation after the red blade from his cross-guard lightsaber malfunctions while he tries to look cool.

The Revenge of the Sith's cinematic boss battle between Obi-Wan Kenobi and General Grievous on Utapau is teased in the trailer as Obi-Wan avoids one of Grievous' AoE attacks. Further, Kylo Ren is the butt-end of another joke as he wears a t-shirt that explicitly addresses his love of Darth Vader and flexes until he pops out of the shirt to reveal his muscular LEGO figure and start working out. Even if character customization is not included in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, these moments will help to iterate on its characters in a fun way.

Funny enough, it looks like this shirtless version of Kylo will apparently be a skin that players can choose as gameplay shows shirtless Kylo attacking a shadow stormtrooper. Of course, these are only a handful of the memorable characters that players will see in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga's 300+ character roster. All the dark side characters' iconic moments from the film are sure to be featured in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and add depth to the graphical and gameplay overhauls that this latest installment has received.
