The first Disney and Marvel Games Showcase may have been one of the most break-neck showcases of all time, with its announcements coming thick and fast, but fans of both brands like LEGO Star Wars have plenty to keep them happy for the next few months. With big reveals from Skydance's Marvel ensemble game, check-ups on Marvel's Midnight Suns, and a range of announcements from Disney, it's likely that a few smaller reveals slipped through the cracks, and the announcement of the LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Galactic Edition is probably one of them.

Releasing in April of this year, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga received pretty favorable reviews across the board, delivering on the promise of being the biggest and best LEGO game yet, at least for the most part. While The Skywalker Saga had a surprising amount of content, with well over 1,000 collectibles across 27 iconic open-world Star Wars planets, fans were still hungry for more, and that's what they'll get with the newly announced LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Galactic Edition.

LEGO Star Wars Skywalker Saga Galactic Edition All Character Packs

Releasing on November 1, 2022, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Galactic Edition brings together all of the game's current DLC packs, and adds in some more of its own. In total, the Galactic Edition will collate 13 LEGO Star Wars DLC Character Packs, split into two distinct "Character Collections," both of which bring a slew of new playable heroes and villains to the game, across all reaches of the Star Wars universe.

In Character Collection 1, all of the game's previous Character Packs are brought together. These add a plethora of characters from both seasons of The Mandalorian, The Bad Batch, Rogue One, and Solo. The Trooper Pack also adds some new Stormtroopers to the game, and the Classic Character Pack adds designs based on the original LEGO Star Wars games.

The LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Galactic Edition is also adding Character Collection 2, a range of new characters to the game. These characters hail from the Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney Plus show, the upcoming Andor show, The Book of Boba Fett, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and Star Wars Rebels. A few of the new characters teased in the trailer are the beloved Captain Rex, Cassian Andor, and the Inquisitor Reva Sevander. This new collection also has characters based on the animated comedy short, LEGO Star Wars: Summer Vacation, which can also be found on Disney Plus. Fans should expect to see The Emperor and Darth Vader wearing some Hawaiian shirts.

Fans should expect to pay around $79.99 for the LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Galactic Edition on consoles, and $69.99 on PC. For those who already own the base game, these Character Collections will be available to purchase outside of the Galactic Edition, with the bundle of both Collections costing $24.99, or $14.99 each. If fans have already purchased some of the DLC packs already, or if they're just not feeling a particular Character Pack, then they can also pick up each Character Pack individually for $2.99 each. It may not be the large-scale expansion that some fans were hoping for, but this new Collection does add quite a few fan-favorite characters to the game, and the Galactic Edition itself is the perfect product for anyone that hasn't already got the game, and wants the complete experience.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Galactic Edition will be available on November 1 for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
