With rumors claiming the game will release in October later this year, fans are probably wondering what additional extras will be offered if they decide to pre-order themselves a copy of the upcoming LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Previous games in the franchise have given fans some crazy incentives to purchase a copy prior to release, including an Iron Man minifigure, a Harley Quinn steelbook, and numerous pieces of in-game DLC.

As it turns out, Best Buy has shown off what players will get if they grab themselves a copy of the game from the popular retail store, and as it turns out, it's undeniably a fantastic piece of Star Wars merch. Instead of the game's traditional box, players will instead receive a striking steelbook case that stands as a hilarious reference to an iconic moment from The Empire Strikes Back.

The steelbook itself is designed to reference the moment where Han Solo is imprisoned in carbonite, with the box showing the notorious character immortalized in his metallic prison. This, of course, occurs towards the latter half of the film, where Princess Leah finally confess that she loves Solo just for him to sarcastically retort "I know," leaping back into the carbonite and encasing himself within. It's a fantastic reference to one of the saga's most iconic scenes, and will undeniably make for an amazing collector's piece for any huge Star Wars fan.

As for the game itself, not much is known about LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga aside from the fact that it will be a dramatic reinvention of the series so far. Not only will it give players content from all the nine mainline films in the series, but it seems the game will be one of the LEGO franchise's most expansive yet, with fully explorable open-worlds that unfold through story progression. As it stands, it seems like a major upgrade to the previous LEGO releases, so hopefully, it'll be everything fans want and more when it potentially drops later this year.

As for other Star Wars related news, it seems fans will be getting a new video game adaptation of the franchise in the comings months in the form of Star Wars MaverickCurrently, the game appears to be something of a flight-based title, however, it seems fans will know more in the coming weeks. Allegedly, it will be one of the next big reveals in Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest, so players won't have to wait long to see what it's all about.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is rumored to be launching on October 20 for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
