LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga boasts an impressive roster of not just major characters, but many minor entrants from the vast history of the movie and TV series. From Sy Snootles to Peli Motto, side characters from Star Wars abound in the hilarious video game. Still, there’s no clear reason why certain major characters have yet to find themselves in the game's latest editions.

While new variants of characters, including minor color or costume changes, are in the latest collections and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga DLC packs, some heroes remain absent without leave. Most of them have direct ties to the Skywalker family legacy, and all appear in recent series entries.

Omega

The young clone introduced in the Bad Batch series on Disney Plus learns how to fight swiftly and effectively, so there’s no reason she shouldn’t show up armed with a laser bow ready to help her brothers. If Crosshair can reunite with Wrecker, Hunter, and the crew, Omega definitely deserves a spot. The catch may be her ties to the Skywalker Saga itself, but that’s likely coming in future seasons.

Grogu

star wars mandalorian the child cookie

Baby Yoda remains absent from the line-up, despite side characters from The Mandolorian making the cut. At best, the little green hero appears as a follower for the Mandalorian himself. While Grogu may seem innocent, fans know the Child can use the Force to deadly effect. He may be too young to totally get the whole good versus evil thing, but he’s definitely strong enough to make a difference fighting against beasts and stormtrooper guards. Traveller's Tales should make him a main character, give him Force levitation, and put him down alongside his master, Luke Skywalker.

Owen and Beru Lars

A still of Owen and Beru Lars from Attack of the Clones.

The pair remains absent, yet the Obi-Wan Kenobi TV show versions of these characters held their own against an imperial inquisitor and are clearly able to watch over young Luke. The game continues to show no love for the couple who adopted the young Skywalker. They clearly have what it takes. Owen and Beru Lars just need a set of blasters before players can put them up against almost anything, except oddly precise imperial stormtroopers.

Saw Gerrera

Star Wars Saw Gerrera standing with a staff

The man is a Clone Wars legend trained by Anakin Skywalker, a rebel hero and insurgent played by an amazing actor on screen, and a pivotal part of Rogue One, yet he is also missing from the DLC collection of the same name. Saw Gerrera lost his sister in the early wars against the Separatists and never forgave the would-be rulers of the galaxy. Saw's recent appearance in Andor should be more than enough to warrant inclusion full of explosives.

Tala Durith

tala from obi-wan kenobi

If The Skywalker Saga can include Peli Motto, it can include Tala. While Peli is little more than a wrench-jockey with an odd taste in furry humanoids, Tala Durith is a rebel fighter willing to go directly into the den of the enemy to rescue her allies. Her tragic sacrifice demands recognition. Tala should be armed with a rebel sidearm and available in both Imperial and rebel costumes, ready to do whatever it takes to aid lost Jedi and rekindle hope in the galaxy. She faced down Darth Vader and his inquisitors; that’s more than Motto by a parsec.

Many other less pivotal characters still have yet to find their place in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Qui-Gon’s old friend Quinlan Vos deserves a shot, and there are some variants of major characters from the Clone Wars fans would love. The game hasn’t yet run out of DLC opportunities, so maybe these major characters won’t be so far, far away.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
