About a couple of weeks ago, TT Games and Warner Bros. Interactive announced the inclusion of the Inhumans with a trailer detailing their role in the forthcoming action-adventure game LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2. Now the developer and publisher have provided even more information about the title by releasing a brand new story trailer for the game, and have shared details regarding its season pass.

As seen below in the story trailer for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2, the footage focuses on the canine, Cosmo the Spacedog – a telepathic Soviet cosmonaut, Knowhere’s chief of security, and the Guardians of the Galaxy's ally – who is tasked with assembling a team of the best super heroes to take on the super villain known as Kang the Conqueror. The call to action comes about after Kang has stolen numerous Marvel cities and locations from across time and space to form the Open Hub World of Chronopolis in a bid to control the universe.

Cosmo’s assemblage of Marvel's best and brightest in LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 brings together a wide range of super heroes from a variety of different time periods and alternate realities. For instance, Star-Lord, Thor, Spider-Man, Spider-Gwen, Hulk, She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel, Rocket Raccoon, Iron Man, Cowboy Captain America, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Groot, and a plethora of other heroes must all work together to stop Kang.

In addition to LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2's new story trailer, TT Games and Warner Bros. Interactive have also detailed the contents of the game's $15 season pass, and it will feature six Level Packs and four Character Packs, with the Level Packs consisting of content inspired by TV and movie properties such as Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, Ant-Man and The Wasp, Cloak & Dagger, and The Runaways. The DLC character packs include Agents of Atlas, Champions, Out of Time, and Classic Guardians of the Galaxy, which add upwards of 60 new characters to the main game.

Taking all of this into account, it looks as if LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 is set to be a much bigger and more expansive adventure than its predecessor. With any luck, the forthcoming title manages to satisfy fans of both the LEGO and Marvel brands without sagging under the hefty weight of its gigantic scope.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 is set to launch on November 14, 2017 for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
