LEGO games of well-known series have been popular to play among all ages, with franchises ranging from Batman to Indiana Jones. One such fan created a teaser of God of War as a LEGO game, which features a more mature franchise than what LEGO is known for. God of War and LEGO combine to create this new and enticing concept for fans.

The E rating is part of LEGO games' identity, so fans will use LEGO products to sometimes build structures from other family friendly franchises, such as one fan who created Kanto’s Route 3 from Pokemon. Unfortunately, this leaves out various IPs with higher maturity ratings. It’s then left up to fans to imagine what their favorite games would be like if they were given the LEGO treatment. One such creator, Bricks of Chaos, shares their concepts for a LEGO version of God of War on their Instagram. The page is filled with not only LEGO characters, but sets, miniatures, and even features a teaser trailer of the God of War 2 main menu if it was in a LEGO game.

The computer generated LEGO recreation of the God of War 2 menu is presented as if a player could toggle between options themselves. The animation begins with the supposed player toggling through the main menu to choose the difficulty setting of the game. Once chosen, the animation acts as if the game begins, with Kratos rising off his throne as the camera zooms out then back in. After a fade to black, the title screen shows off "LEGO God of War 2." This acts as the starting point on how fans can imagine what a God of War 2 LEGO game could be like if it was released by Sony and Traveller’s Tales. This LEGO menu is a treat for fans, as God of War 2 is a nostalgic game from the PS2 era.

However, because of God of War 2’s maturity rating, it is unlikely that fans will ever see LEGO products featuring this game. LEGO usually appeals to a younger audience, partnering with friendlier franchises like Minecraft, superheroes, and even Star Wars, like the new LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga game. It’s thanks to creators like Bricks of Chaos on Instagram who bring mature games to life with LEGO that this vision can be seen.

With new gameplay footage revealed for God of War Ragnarok, expectations are high, and as a result, this creator’s God of War LEGO content is more relevant than ever before. Not only is it fun for fans of both IPs, but it may also encourage Traveller’s Tales and Sony to expand its horizons when it comes to LEGO products, as it has evolved to be appreciated by all ages.

God of War 2 is available on PS2 and PS3.
