Although The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has only been out for less than a week at this point, one fan has already managed to beat the game in a blazingly fast speedrun that lasts only a little more than an hour. The impressive feat can be attributed to the skills of the YouTuber known as Venick409, with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild player's accomplishment clocking in at exactly one hour, five minutes, and seventeen seconds.

Obviously, as seen in Venick409's video below, it must be mentioned that there are absolutely massive spoilers that come about, so for those who don't want to ruin any of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild's plot points or ending, it would be best to avoid the YouTuber's footage altogether. Nonetheless, it's worth noting how skillful Venick409 is with the game, as the player has already mastered taking precise routes, while even skipping past important items during the run.

While many will certainly laud Venick409 on the achievement, it's interesting to see that the YouTuber's speedrun is far from perfect. As a matter of fact, there are a few little mistakes that end up costing the player some valuable time along the way. Of course, it's quite likely that this won't be Venick409's last speedrun for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, so these issues will likely be rectified when it comes to subsequent attempts to cut through the game's full open world map to get directly to the heart of beating it in a much speedier manner.

Naturally, in order to make it through The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild this quickly, Venick409 takes advantage of various glitches found within the game. For instance, the video highlights the YouTuber's implementation of a dashing and whistling glitch that's used frequently in the speedrun, in which pressing down while dashing somehow stops the stamina bar from depleting completely, allowing the mute protagonist Link to move relatively uninhibited. Perhaps most intriguing, though, is Venick409 playing through the speedrun in French because characters talk much faster in cut-scenes in order to save time.

For those unaware, Nintendo has previously revealed that due to the structure of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, fans can focus solely on the main storyline and run straight to the end quite early on to finish the primary quest should they wish to do so. Nevertheless, those players who do so will need to have a magnificent set of gaming skills and wield the Master Sword with authority.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is out now for Nintendo Switch and Wii U.
