Without a doubt, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will go down as one of the best games of 2017 thanks to its impeccable open world gameplay, its fantastic soundtrack, and perhaps most importantly, its gorgeously rendered graphics depicting wonderful naturalistic imagery and pastoral settings. Taking the lattermost aspect of the title into account, the folks over at MakoMod decided to remodel the Nintendo Switch to reflect the overall artistic design style of the release's world, making it appear as if the console were actually an artifact from the game itself.

As seen below in the video courtesy of MakoMod, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild-themed Nintendo Switch has been remodeled with materials resembling stone and wood that create the appearance of the console having been weathered, chipped, and eroded over the course of several years in the outdoors. Plus, with the Sheikah Eye being placed prominently on the side of the system's dock, MakoMod has cleverly dubbed the creation as the Sheikah Switch.

For those unaware, this isn't the first instance of fans giving the Nintendo Switch a cosmetic remodel, as one Redditor by the name of "DEAD_GIVEAWAY" made a plethora of console skins to make the system more eye-catching than its muted out-of-the-box colors of gray and black. This fan in particular made skins that reflected the style of the Super Mario franchise, the Pokemon series, and even The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim.

While The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild -styled Nintendo Switch is objectively a beautiful sight to behold, MakoMod isn't selling it for cheap. As it so happens, it can be bought off of eBay from the creators for roughly $695.74, which is more than double the asking price of a brand new Switch console. Taking this into consideration, though, one could argue that the modified system is a one-of-a-kind piece of art, so spending a pretty penny on it should be expected. However, many Nintendo fans who don't have their hands on a Switch just yet will likely wait until the company replenishes its stock of the console in stores soon.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is available now for Nintendo Switch and Wii U.
