During Nintendo’s E3 2017 press conference, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild producer Eiji Aonuma announced that the action-adventure title is set to receive four new amiibo figures based on the four Champions found in the game. This means that the Zora Champion Mipha, the Goron Champion Daruk, the Rito Champion Revali, and the Garudo Champion Urbosa are each primed to receive amiibo of their own.

As seen in the image below, fans of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild can get a good look at how each of the amiibo for the aforementioned characters are designed, with each model displaying a high attention to detail and vibrant colors. Unfortunately, though, Aonuma didn’t go into explicit detail as to what the figures’ functionality is, nor when BotW fans can get their hands on them.

Although little else is known about The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Champion amiibo, Aonuma did confirm that they can be used in the game’s forthcoming DLC. Fans of the game can look forward to two new expansion packs with the first being known as “The Master Trials,” while the second one is called “The Champions’ Ballad. The former add-on features a new “Trial of the Sword” mode, Master Mode, Hero’s Path, the Travel Medallion, the Korok Mask, and eight new armor items, with the latter DLC focusing on Link’s relationships with Urbosa, Mipha, Daruk, and Revali.

Once the Champions amiibo for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild come out, they will be available alongside previously existing amiibo such as the Archer Link, a Rider Link, a Guardian, a Bokoblin, and Princess Zelda. Without a doubt, diehard BotW fans will make it a priority to expand their collection of Nintendo figures once Mipha, Daruk, Revali, and Urbosa are added to the amiibo line.
