Unfortunately, Tears of the Kingdom does not include a New Game Plus mode at launch. However, that's not to say that there's nothing in the way of post-game content. After completing the main story, players will be sent back to the main menu, upon which, they'll notice that their save file now has a little star next to it. If they load this save file up, they'll see that a completion rate is now displayed in the bottom right-hand corner of the map screen. To reach 100% completion, they'll need to complete every shrine, collect every Korok Seed, and visit every named location in Hyrule.

Then there are the many optional mini-boss battles that can be found scattered throughout the Kindom of Hyrule, some of which can really test the player's combat skills.

Like Tears of the Kingdom, Breath of the Wild didn't feature a New Game+ mode at launch. Strictly speaking, it still doesn't have one, though three months on from the game's release, it did receive an enhanced difficulty setting called Master Mode courtesy of the Master Trials DLC. With this in mind, it's possible that Tears of the Kingdom will get something similar at some point, so players should keep an eye out for updates in the weeks and months following the game's release.
