In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the South Lomei Labyrinth awaits players at the edge of Gerudo. Deep inside, they can find "The South Lomei Prophecy" and set off a series of challenges that need to be overcome. Players victorious in this Tears of the Kingdom side quest will earn themselves the mysterious Evil Spirit Mask.
South Lomei Labyrinth Location in TotK
Players are able to find the South Lomei Labyrinth on the eastern edge of the Gerudo Desert around the coordinates -1794, -3333, 0072. They'll be able to reach the labyrinth easily by traveling southeast from the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower or by fast traveling to the nearby Kitawak Shrine and venturing southwest.
The South Lomei Labyrinth sits within a canyon, so it might be difficult for players to spot it from the ground. Following the map, though, players should have no problem reaching its entrance.
As players approach the labyrinth, they'll spot a small research camp set up near a stone tablet written in the Zonai language. The words of the tablet have been translated and transcribed into a notebook on the table describing a reward for anyone that can overcome the challenges of the labyrinth.

Players reading the notebook will also learn that a researcher who had previously visited the labyrinth has left a trail of acorns and nuts to mark their path.
There is also a Korok-Frond Guster underneath the tent that players can use to clear away piles of sand within the labyrinth, some of which may be hiding weapons and other treasures.
Players can create their own gusting weapon by using the Fuse ability to combine any weapons with a Korok Frond or any other large, flat object such as a tile or board.
The researcher's trail follows the highlighted path on the map above and is far from the most direct route. Players are able to venture off the beaten path to locate hidden chests or even jump further along the trail of nuts and acorns. However, they'll need to prepare for Gerudo's extreme weather conditions, as Link may experience both sweltering heat and freezing cold as he explores the labyrinth.
Players will also come across a great deal of Gloom covering their path in the South Lomei Labyrinth. They could find creative ways to cross it without taking Gloom Damage, or simply run through it if they have enough health as the Gloom Damage will dissipate over time while on the surface.
Eventually, players will come across the researcher's final notebook before dropping to the chamber below where the Motsusis Shrine sits across from a stone Zonai terminal.
Activating the terminal will begin "The South Lomei Prophecy" and Link will hear the voice of someone claiming to be the ruler of boars.
The voice instructs Link to travel to another labyrinth that's floating high above him and find the unlocked door to continue the challenges.
South Lomei Labyrinth Shortcut
Players that don't wish to wander through the labyrinth have the option of reaching the roof of the labyrinth and making their way toward the star marked on the map above. Players can then jump down to the corridor below at -1773, -3470, 0071 to skip a large portion of the maze and wind up near the end of the researcher's trail.
South Lomei Castle Top Floor Location in TotK
To get to the South Lomei Castle Top Floor, players should once again visit the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower and launch Link high into the sky. The goal is to reach the entrance of the floating labyrinth at the coordinates -1795, -3295, 1011.
While it's possible to reach the labyrinth with the paraglider and a few boosts from Tulin, it's much easier to stop at the East Gerudo Sky Archipelago and build a flying machine.
On the floating island, players are able to find pre-assembled flying machines and Zonai devices to make their own. If players don't have many Energy Cells, they should pack a handful of Zonai Charges to get through the trip.
In the distance, players will be able able to spot the Siyamotsus Shrine on the outside of the South Lomei Castle Top Floor and should aim to land nearby.
Activating the Zonai terminal found across from the shrine will cause the mysterious voice to speak to Link once again.
The ruler of boars will instruct Link to find and activate an additional four terminals within the walls of the South Lomei Castle Top Floor, and the door to the maze will open.
To reach each of the four terminals, players can use the map above to chart the quickest route through the labyrinth.
Although the labyrinth has no floor, the low gravity and strong updraft will keep Link afloat as he navigates its corridors. There are several platforms that players can use to rest and recharge their stamina if needed.
A few walls will block players' progress through the passageways, but they are able to drop their paraglider and pass underneath. Reopening the paraglider afterward will lift Link back into the air, so as long as he doesn't pass below the bottom edge of the labyrinth, players should be fine.
As an alternative to gliding through the maze, players may use Ascend or use Zonai devices to reach the roof of the South Lomei Castle Top Floor. From there, they'll simply need to make their way to the end locations on the map above and then drop down to the terminals below.
If players manage to activate all four terminals, a final Zonai terminal will appear at the top of the structure and the gusts of wind will intensify. Players can use their paraglider to ride these winds all the way up to the top.
While on the roof, players should also be sure to grab the Big Battery Zonai Device from the chest in the middle.
When players activate the terminal, the voice will instruct Link to test his courage and venture to the labyrinth directly below in The Depths.
Players should jump from the given platform and dive straight down.
South Lomei Depths Labyrinth Walkthrough
As communicated by the mysterious voice, the door covering the chasm in the South Lomei Labyrinth has now been opened, and players are able to dive all the way from the top of the South Lomei Castle Top Floor into the South Lomei Depths Labyrinth.
The dive will end in near total darkness, so players should drop a Zonai Light or use Brightblooms to illuminate the bottom.
Players can then follow the path to the floor below where they must fight a Flux Construct III that's waiting in the center of the room.
Successfully defeating the construct will allow players to activate a terminal against the wall where the ruler of boars will speak to Link for the last time.
The voice will congratulate Link on his triumph and raise a chest containing the Evil Spirit Mask out from the floor.
As "The South Lomei Prophecy" is marked complete, players are able to explore the rest of the underground labyrinth to find hidden treasures such as Poes and Zonai weapons.
Finally, players can ascend to the roof to activate the Sisustom Lightroot and light up the nearby area within The Depths.
What Does the Evil Spirit Mask Do?
The Evil Spirit Mask is one of three pieces that make up the Evil Spirit Armor Set, which is based on Phantom Ganon's appearance in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. On its own, it provides one level to Link's overall stealth. When it's paired with the rest of the set though, Link gains a disguise that works against most Stal enemies as well as proficiency with bone weapons.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available for the Nintendo Switch.
