The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has a lot of enemies players will have to fight, the game also brought back some recurring monsters from other games in Zelda franchise. Some enemies feature heavily throughout the game while some enemies some players have claimed to forget are even in the game.

Some of these enemies are a variant of the more popular ones, although they may pack a more powerful punch than their originals. However, some can provide a measure of challenge for Link. Over time, players will find themselves navigating through the myriad enemies in the game, but these are the rarest enemies in Tears of the Kingdom.

10 Treasure Octorok

Treasure Octoroks are cunning and clever enemies, they burrow and hide underground, disguising themselves as treasure chests. They instantly attack anyone that comes close to their chest, which is also a part of their body.

They live in sandy and snowy areas, and players can find them around the Gogobi shores near the Dragon’s Tear next to a rock. Treasure Octoroks are one of the recurring enemies in the Legend of Zelda series, and players will gain drops including several rupees, one Octo Ballon, and one Octorok Eyeball when they're defeated.

9 Fire-Breath Lizalfos

Fire-Breath Lizalfos have an appearance that is very different from the other Lizalfos. They have a red and orange appearance and are recurring enemies from other games in The Legend of Zelda series. They are smart and intelligent, combined with their fire breath, which makes them dangerous enemies for Link.

Although they have high resistance to heat and can swim in a steam of molten lava, players can easily defeat them with ice attacks. They live mainly in volcanic regions and can drop talons, horns, and tails when defeated.

8 Moth Gibdo

Moth Gibdos are winged monsters, which are powerful and dangerous as they can attack and damage Link quickly while they are flying. They are very resilient and are resistant to physical attacks due to their tough skin.

Moth Gibdos are susceptible to fire and lighting attacks, and they are primarily found in the Gerudo Desert or within the depths of the desert. Players will gain drops that include Gibdo guts, bones, and wings when they slay these monsters.

White-Maned Lynels are ancient creatures that have been in Hyrule for ages, they are brutal creatures that kill all that come before them. They are stronger than the regular Lynels and also the Blue-Maned Lynels. They carry a set of weapons that includes Lynel sword and shield.

They are very intelligent and strong, they have powerful and dangerous horns. Players can locate them in the Faron Grasslands Depths and the Central Hyrule Depths. After slaying these dangerous foes, they can leave behind 10 arrows, Lynel guts, Lynel hoofs, and weapons.

6 Yiga Blademaster

Yiga Blademasters are an elite group of soldiers from the Yiga clan. They possess a Windcleaver capable of producing wind-based attacks. They are earth benders capable of manipulating the earth with a special technique available to only them. Yiga Blademasters are very swift, despite their large size.

They are one of the few villains in the game capable of speech, and are often found in The Great Plateau. After Link defeats a Yiga Blademaster, they run, leaving behind several rupees, Mighty Bananas, and their Windcleaver.

5 Thunder Gleeok

The Thunder Gleeok is a very powerful and dangerous three-headed lightning dragon. It is a rare enemy that players can find in only three locations in the game, the Colosseum Ruins, The Akkala Citadel, and Lake Herin. They are very challenging to kill, and their attacks can cause a lot of damage.

However, they are vulnerable to projectile attacks while in the air. Link can earn Thunder Gleeok horns, wings, and other powerful items by defeating them.

4 Soldier Construct IV

The Soldier Construct IV is an upgraded variant far superior to lower-ranked soldier constructs. It is very resilient and has powerful attacks that can do serious damage to Link. They are Zonai-powered constructs that are capable of using fused weapons.

Their horns have a sharp disk that spins and can cut through almost anything. When Link defeats a Soldier Construct IV, they lose their green magic and explode. They may also drop their headpiece or a large or small Zonai charge when Link defeats them.

3 Naydra

Naydra is one of the three free-roaming dragons in Tears of the Kingdom and is impossible to defeat. Naydra is a dragon with an imbued ice spirit, and while this powerful creature does not hold animosity toward Link or try to kill him, Link will instantly freeze if he gets too close.

Although Link cannot kill Naydra, he can gain some items by shooting at the dragon. The item Link receives depends on the area was Naydra shot. Some of the more common items Link will receive include Shards of Naydra's Horn or Naydra's Scales.

2 Silver Moblin

Silver Moblins are more durable and powerful than other Moblins, and they also use the strongest Moblin weapons in the game. They are very rare and are distinct from other Moblins due to their silver skin. Moblins are recurring enemies from other games in the Legend of Zelda series.

Their horns are very powerful and can cause serious damage if they attack Link with them. These monsters are very vulnerable to fire, however, or players can disarm and stun them with lightning-based attacks before killing them off.

1 King Gleeok

The King Gleeoks are massive creatures with three heads, and three elemental attributes: ice, fire and lightning. They are intelligent enough to release all three attacks simultaneously to devastating effects. Many players have advised not taking on this monster alone because of how challenging it is to defeat.

To defeat this monster, all three heads must be destroyed within a short time interval, which will stun the monster and allow Link to then go for the kill. A long distance battle using fused arrows or other projectiles is the best choice to fight these monsters.
