Even though it seems like it's taking forever to get here, the release date for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is just about a month away. We've seen plenty of stuff in the past few months leading up to now, and if the early reviews are anything to go by, it'll be worth the wait. But there's still a lot that hasn't been revealed yet, from the looks of things. To tide the loyal fans over, another chunk of gameplay has been released onto the internet.

The new Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword video is a part of the most recent "Iwata Asks" column on the Japanese Nintendo website, and the information hasn't been fully translated, so we may not have all the pertinent information  just yet. Nevertheless, have a look at the gameplay video below and see what else is going to appear in the game.

Even though the text is left untranslated, the area is described as somewhere called the "sealed grounds." The camera takes its time in exploring the area, which is a nice touch and would be great if it was actually a part of the game, instead of just being used to preview the place for the video.

Link doesn't really do much of anything for the first half of the video. We do get to see him perform that dowsing skill that we've already seen in action, though he appears to be using it to look for Zelda. We also see that Link has something of a dash meter, allowing him to run faster than usual for a brief period of time. He's able to place markers on his map, giving him a clear destination to go to.

We also get a good look at the already-revealed Silent World, with Link walking around collecting orbs, which is not unlike the Tears of Light collection quest in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. One new twist to this quest, though, is the need to avoid some strange lantern ghosts, who we should probably assume are recurring Zelda enemies Poes. Tripping their alarms result in some large monster chasing after you, one which we apparently can't defeat ourselves.

In addition to the video, the column mentioned something about the Loftwings (check them out in these Skyward Sword screenshots), the bird-like creatures Link uses for travel in the game, and how blue ones are supposedly quite rare. How this will factor into gameplay is a mystery, but let's hope it isn't something like the Final Fantasy VII Chocobo minigame.

What do you think of the new gameplay footage revealed? How exactly will the Loftwings factor in?

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword will arrive November 20, 2011, for the Nintendo Wii.
