Nintendo's E3 2019 Direct is just a few hours away, but the leaks are still arriving. After Nintendo slapped down a cease and desist order on a leaker yesterday, things have slowed down, but now Amazon Japan may have spoiled the release date for Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening.
The upcoming remake of Link's Awakening was announced months ago during another Nintendo Direct, which promised a 2019 release window for the upcoming Switch game. Now that we're about halfway through the year, it makes sense for Nintendo to share some more substantial details about the game. If the Amazon Japan leak is to be believed, today's Direct will likely promise a September 20, 2019 launch for the game.
This is definitely still in rumor territory, especially since the date has already been removed from the site and we aren't able to confirm the translation ourselves. Fans will just have to wait another couple of hours for official word.
Be sure to check back for more E3 2019 leaks, updates, and news throughout the rest of the week. Be sure to check back and watch the official Nintendo Direct to see confirmation of the leaked release date.
Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening remake does not currently have an official release date, but it's expected in 2019 on the Switch.
