It seems as though the GPU market is due to become flooded with new products, most likely beginning at the start of 2022. With Intel also about to launch its own graphics card range, the likes of Nvidia and AMD will soon have more competition on their hands besides each other. With that, "team green" is looking to launch not only some new desktop hardware, but also laptop equivalents as well, and a recent leak reveals the specs of its upcoming mobile RTX 3080 Ti.

According to a report, the specifications for the upcoming Nvidia laptop GPU have been spotted. The leaks state the 3080 Ti will have 16 GB of VRAM and 7424 CUDA Cores, and is being built on a new GPU called GA103S. It seems as though these aren't mere rumors, and the leaks appear to have been confirmed by sources. On top of that, it's expected that this latest mobile Ti will likely be out in early 2022, which is around the same time that AMD and Intel will be launching their next-generation processors.

This release date also lines up with the recent rumors that Nvidia is launching a 3070 Ti 16 GB and 3080 12 GB in January. If this is the case, then it's going to be a busy month for the tech giant, who seem to be ready to pounce over the next couple of months with a whole host of options for PC gamers. This could be down to the fact that Intel joined the race recently, and Nvidia would like to keep both its rivals lagging behind. It could also be a way of compensating for the shortages that have been raging on in the tech world for the better part of a year.

In any case, the upcoming laptop 3080 Ti will not be as powerful as the desktop RTX 3080 Ti which was released this summer, although the former will have more memory than the latter. That's understandable given that it's a mobile GPU, which tend to be slightly less powerful, although the laptop Ti will be a stronger graphics card compared to its equivalent laptop predecessors.

As of now, there is no definite date when Nvidia will launch this latest 3080 Ti, but there does seem to be a possibility of the market becoming saturated with PC hardware. With the semiconductor deficit expected to go on until maybe 2023, manufacturers can continue to push new products all the time, but it might not do much good if customers can't procure any of it.
