DC League of Super-Pets is coming out this summer, and now DC is starting to reveal its hand by showing more of the movie. Fans finally got a look at this universe's rendition of the Justice League, which is a slightly different take than many are familiar with.

DC League of Super-Pets follows the Justice League's friendly companions, who are in a league of their own when it comes to being super. Those who grew up with the television show, Krypto: the Super Dog, may be very familiar with many of the references in this upcoming movie. The recent trailer revealed Keanu Reeves as Batman, while Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart will also be starring.

A new DC League of Super-Pets poster and image has been revealed, which finally shows the entire Justice League for this upcoming movie. The alterations can be seen in the image with some characters. Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and The Flash look like they usually do, for the most part. However, Cyborg now has higher hair instead of the close shave look, Aquaman has a tan, which might be in order to reflect Jason Momoa's indigenous roots, and the Green Lantern in this film will actually be a woman instead, which works very well because the ring has occupied several characters throughout the course of DC's history.

"In 'DC League of Super-Pets,' Krypto the Super-Dog and Superman are inseparable best friends, sharing the same superpowers and fighting crime in Metropolis side by side," reads the synopsis, which sounds like the typical bond these two are known for having. "When Superman and the rest of the Justice League are kidnaped, Krypto must convince a rag-tag shelter pack—Ace the hound, PB the potbellied pig, Merton the turtle and Chip the squirrel—to master their own newfound powers and help him rescue the superheroes." This sounds like a very fun, family-friendly movie that many would be able to enjoy.

This universe will obviously be separated from the other live-action DC properties, which really is serving to DC's benefit. Moving forward, they might take an individualistic approach to storytelling while the shared universe will exist separate from the "character study stories." It all depends on what happens with the ending of the upcoming Flash movie.

For example, the currently in development Aqualad project has the titular character dealing with his absent father, but Black Manta is very much alive in the DCEU. There's also no hint of Black Manta being a father in the DCEU, so many are assuming that the Aqualad story will be separate from the Aquaman films unless this somehow gets altered later on down the road.

DC League of Super-Pets will be in theaters on July 29, 2022.
