League of Legends: Wild Rift is finding itself growing more popular by the day, as Riot Games' effort to bring its wildly popular MOBA to mobile devices is paying dividends. With a constant stream of updates ever since it was first released in 2020, it experiments in several ways to balance its competitive nature with a casual mobile audience. With the game's ever-evolving nature and consistent content, it helps keeps players engaged as it introduces different gameplay elements that makes League of Legends: Wild Rift so radically different to the PC MOBA.

The latest update to League of Legends: Wild Rift, known as Patch 3.1, was discussed in a video by the development team, led by the game's executive producer Alan Moore. He gave out details regarding the current state of the game after numerous patches, where he and the team noting that the game's stability and latency has improved greatly. Moore also states that one of the priorities that the team will be focusing on is the fairness of the game, addressing issues such as AFK players, as well as increasing transparency on penalties for reported players.

One of the bigger announcements with the game is concerning both the console version of League of Legends: Wild Rift, as well as the South Asian release of the game. Moore regrettably states that both versions are still being worked on, and any updates regarding those won't be given in 2022. “We appreciate your patience while we’ve been working through these, and we look forward to providing more news when we can,” he added. No reason was given to the delay for both of these versions.

The main focus of the video however is a couple of new gameplay changes, such as new items added to League of Legends: Wild Rift along with tweaks to existing ones. However, the biggest change is the introduction of the Elemental Rift, a new arena with changing landscapes depending on the current state and events of the match. This arena will also have dragons that will give certain buffs when they are slaind, with the terrain being able to change between Infernal, Mountain, and Ocean.

The last bit of news that was provided in this update to League of Legends: Wild Rift are a number of events being scheduled. This includes collaborations with the PC version of League of Legends to returning themes to the game. A number of skins will also be added in the future, where players can dress some of their favorite champions in some stylish cosmetics.
