League of Legends Wild Rift has much diversity in its class selection. However, in this article, Mages will be the focus. Mages are Champions that deal Magic Damage using Ability Power and usually have long ranged AOE (Area of Effect) abilities accompanied by burst damage. This allows most Mages to be extremely effective in team fights, by damaging entire enemy teams with their abilities or swiftly taking out priority targets with ease.
Ability Power is also crucial to multiple team compositions because most champions deal Physical Damage. Enemy Tanks can just stack a lot of Armor to shut down Physical Damage based compositions but having a Mage in the team will have enemies second-guessing which defensive items to buy.
10 Veigar
Veigar is a Mage that excels at single target burst damage and disrupting enemies' position. Veigar's Passive ability provided him with bonus Ability Power whenever he kills something with his Q ability. The longer the duration of the game, the more useful this Passive becomes.

- His E ability creates a spherical wall that stuns any enemies that walks into it.

9 Aurelion Sol
Aurelion Sol is a Mage that specializes in roaming throughout the map and dealing consistent Magic Damage. His Passive ability is his main source of damage, which are the stars spinning around him that deal Magic Damage each time it collides with an enemy.
- Aurelion Sol's Q ability can be charged to increase its size and deals Magic Damage while stunning enemies.
- His W ability allows him to expand or contract the radius of his Passive ability stars, further increasing the damage and rotation speed when expanded.
- His E ability lets him take flight and increases his Movement Speed vastly, letting him bypass terrain to quickly reach his destination.
- His Ultimate ability deals Magic Damage in a linear path, knocking enemies back and slowing them.
8 Lux
Lux is a Mage that is exceptional at catching out targets and eliminating them in one combination of abilities. Her Passive ability marks enemies that are hit by her other damaging abilities, making her deal extra Magic Damage with auto-attacks.
- Lux's Q ability roots up to two targets while dealing Magic Damage.
- Her W ability gives Lux and other allies that it passes through shields that negate a certain threshold of incoming damage.
- Her E ability slows Movement Speed and damages all enemies in its radius.
- Her Ultimate ability shoots a laser with a length that covers the entire map in a linear path, dealing Magic Damage.
7 Seraphine
Seraphine is a Mage that is great at locking down multiple enemies with CC (Crowd Control) and dealing AOE Magic Damage. Her Passive ability makes her have an increased Attack Range and deal additional damage with her auto attacks after using an ability. Also, every third ability will be used twice in quick succession.
- Seraphine's Q ability deals AOE Magic Damage.
- Her W ability gives shields and heals to herself and nearby allies.
- Her E ability slows and roots targets in a linear path while dealing Magic Damage.
- Her Ultimate ability deals Magic Damage in a linear path, charming all targets that were hit.
6 Brand
Brand is a Mage that specializes in dealing AOE burst damage. His Passive ability deals Maximum Health Percentage damage whenever enemies are hit by his abilities, and once three stacks are reached, there is a small explosion and extra damage dealt with true sight applied to the target. Enemies that are marked by this Passive will also enhance Brand's other abilities.
- Brand's Q ability deals Magic Damage and can stun them if they are marked by his Passive.
- His W ability deals AOE Magic Damage.
- His E ability deals AOE Magic Damage.
- His Ultimate ability deals AOE Magic Damage with a giant fireball that bounces around damaging enemies nearby its initial impact.
5 Twisted Fate
Twisted Fate is an amazing Mage at having a consistent form of CC and great map pressure. His Passive ability grants him bonus gold whenever he kills an enemy unit.
- Twisted Fate's Q ability throws out three cards in a fan-like shape to deal AOE Magic Damage.
- His W ability lets him choose one of three cards that deal Magic Damage with different effects. The Blue card regenerates Mana, the Red card slows enemies' Movement Speed and the Gold card stuns whichever target it hits.
- His E ability increases his Attack Speed when activated, while also dealing additional Magic Damage every fourth auto-attack and gives him bonus gold from hitting enemy champions through his Passive.
- His Ultimate ability reveals the location of all enemies on the map, and he can teleport a very far distance from where he is standing.
4 Morgana
Morgana is a Mage that deals a bunch of AOE DOT (Damage over Time), negates CC, and is great at catching enemies out. Her Passive ability heals her when she damages enemy champions or monsters.
- Morgana's Q ability deals Magic Damage and roots the target that was hit.
- Her W ability deals damage over time in a small circular zone.
- Her E ability puts a shield on a selected target that blocks a certain amount of incoming Magic Damage and makes the shielded target immune to all forms of CC.
- Her Ultimate ability deals Magic DOT and can stun the targets that were damaged by it for long enough of a time frame.
3 Ahri
Ahri is a Mage that has an incredible amount of Mobility and burst Magic Damage. Her Passive ability gives her self-healing when she uses a certain amount of abilities.
- Ahri's Q ability deals AOE Magic Damage in a linear path with a boomerang animation, however as the ability is returning to Ahri, it deals True Damage instead.
- Her W ability deals Magic Damage to nearby enemies while increasing her Movement Speed.
- Her E ability deals Magic Damage and Charms the target that it hits.
- Her Ultimate ability deals Magic Damage to nearby enemies, and she can dash up to three times, dealing Magic Damage each time.
2 Ziggs
Ziggs is a Mage that excels at controlling spaces of terrain and poking consistently with Magic Damage. His Passive ability makes his auto attacks occasionally deal additional Magic Damage.
- Ziggs' Q ability throws a bouncing bomb in a linear path that deals AOE Magic Damage.
- His W ability deals Magic Damage and knocks back nearby enemies and even Ziggs himself, which can help him escape from harm's way.
- His E ability throws a square-shaped minefield that slows enemies that walk through it while dealing Magic Damage to them.
- His Ultimate ability deals AOE Magic Damage in a large spherical zone. It deals more damage the closer the enemy is to the center of the explosion.
1 Orianna
Orianna is a Mage that has a lot of utility alongside AOE Damage and DPS (Damage Per Second). Her Passive ability makes her auto attacks deal additional Magic Damage that increases after each consecutive auto-attack on the same target.
- Orianna's Q ability deals AOE Magic Damage in a linear path throwing out a ball at a designated location within range.
- Her W ability does AOE Magic Damage and slows enemies that are in or pass through the spherical zone the ability was activated upon.
- The E ability shields the selected ally or Orianna herself, blocking a threshold of incoming damage. It also retracts her ball, dealing AOE Magic Damage to the enemies it passes through.
- Her Ultimate Ability deals AOE Magic Damage while knocking back and stunning all enemies near Orianna's ball location.
