Although 2020 has been a chaotic year for League of Legends, Riot Games has continued implementing requested changes and bringing events like Spirit Blossom 2020, which has been very popular among players. With only a few months left in Season 10, Riot recently confirmed a partnership with Universal Music Publishing Group to create songs for this year's World Championship. However, an old favorite of the community has also hinted its return: K/DA.

K/DA is a virtual K-pop girl group consisting of League champions Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, and Kai'Sa. During the 2018 World Championship finals, the group debuted their single "POP/STARS," which went viral on YouTube with over 300 million current views and soon became Riot's best selling skinline with many players also buying merchandise and cosplaying as the characters. Since its meteoric rise, K/DA hasn't released any material for nearly two years, but recent social media now indicates the group has a new song coming out before Worlds 2020 in Shanghai.

A few hours ago, K/DA's official Twitter account posted that their new single 'THE BADDEST' will debut on YouTube in 1 week. Currently the post has over 34,000 likes and 20,000 retweets including one from Riot Games. In addition to the main image, a teaser of all four members' silhouettes was released. While each champion can be recognized by their defining features, Evelynn and Kai'Sa seem to have long hair and a ponytail which could mean new K/DA skins or chromas,

The world will need to wait until August 27th to hear more, but it's clear K/DA's imminent return has gotten both K-pop fans and League of Legends players fired up again.
