At the moment, there seems to be a lot of talk around The Last of Us series. With word going around that Naughty Dog may be looking to do a remake of the original, and the sequel still gaining critical reception despite splitting the community down the middle, it seems the franchise is nowhere near being put to rest just yet. This also goes for the fan base as well, who, as anyone knows, are always keen to show their love for the games they play so passionately.

Recently, a user uploaded a piece of embroidery they've done which encapsulates one aspect of The Last of Us 2, namely Ellie's tattoo. Created by a fan called windsofbeleriand, the beautiful piece of embroidery is a near-perfect replica of Ellie's sleeve tattoo, with the words "endure and survive" sewn into the image as well.

The artwork is so encapsulating that it caught the attention of Naughty Dog itself who uploaded the image to its own Twitter account on Friday. The original image was uploaded to Tumblr and has since been gaining quite a lot of attention on social media, and for good reason as well. Fans are always keen to show their work to the community, such as the Nintendo gamer who showed off their gigantic Switch console replica before donating it to a local charity.

Artwork is just one of many ways that fans can show their love of the likes of The Last of Us series. Just recently, a Twitter user by the name of @IconicNephilim, also known as David, uploaded a 24-piece project which visually tells the story of both TLoU and TLoU2 in movie poster style and beautifully detailed images. It seems as though the gaming community is not short of people who have incredible talent and a sheer love for gaming which they're more than happy to show off.

The Last of Us has been such a huge hit that HBO picked up the game to adapt it into a TV series. While the adaptation will take some of the dialogue straight from the game itself, original director Neil Druckmann has said that the story will deviate and have some tweaks here and there. With its enthralling story, intriguing yet flawed characters, and oodles of great dialogue, it's arguably a franchise that has been screaming for a TV version. Whether it will live up to the game's standards, however, remains to be seen.

The Last of Us Part 2 is available now on PlayStation 4.
