As many know by now, The Last of Us 2 has been delayed indefinitely due the on-going coronavirus pandemic, for its effect on the company's ability to ship and deliver a quality launch experience for the game. With the sour comes some sweet, however, as Naughty Dog did reveal some new The Last of Us 2 screenshots in the following days.

However, it appears that Naughty Dog had something more on the table to show fans, as gameplay footage of The Last of Us 2 has leaked online. It is uncertain if this was meant to be related to a new trailer to tide fans over, or if it was part of a future reveal that has just leaked online. Regardless, it is worth mentioning that Sony and Naughty Dog are taking this video down everywhere the company can, so the video may not be available for long. (If that proves to be the case, we will try to find an alternative).

Last of Us 2 Joel on horseback going through field

The first scene shows Ellie in a wardrobe room for a theater; it's marked Seattle Day 3 in the bottom corner. Ellie gets dressed and moves through the backstage before taking centerstage, where she calls out for two people: Dina and Jessie. From there, Ellie plays a mini-game with a guitar that uses the DualShock 4 touchscreen to strum the strings, something many The Last of Us 2 fans have noted for its accuracy.

The second scene shows Ellie riding horses in the snow alongside another woman, while describing an old film series and bringing up Joel. Yet again, Naughty Dog is being elusive when it comes to exactly what Ellie and Joel's relationship will be in the sequel, likely intentionally on part of the developer. The final scene is the shortest and simple, as it just shows Ellie walking around a forest. As of now, The Last of Us 2 does not have a release date, but hopefully that changes in the coming weeks.

The Last of Us 2 is in development for PS4.
