A player of The Last of Us PC port has discovered a hilarious glitch, where characters are being drenched in cutscenes for seemingly no reason. Gamers are rediscovering The Last of Us, ten years after it first appeared on PlayStation 3.

Some gamers have had a nasty surprise upon the release of The Last of Us on PC. Early impressions have shown that some players are facing hour-long times for The Last of Us, and that's before they can even start playing. Hopefully Naughty Dog can work on getting a fix out to players as soon as possible. PC gamers have already waited a decade to get their hands on the title, and it seems they may face another short wait until the game is playable on some hardware configurations.

The glitch was noticed by Reddit user Putrification, who posted a clip of a cutscene from the game. It starts as normal, with Tess, Marlene, Joel, and Ellie speaking. Suddenly after a single cut, every single character is drenched, with water dripping off each of them despite no water being around. It's extremely strange, and it'd be difficult to guess exactly what has caused the problem. Ultimately, while it breaks the immersion of the scene, it's not a game-breaking bug, so right now it's unlikely to be high on Naughty Dog's list of priorities given the work needed on the game elsewhere. Naughty Dog has acknowledged player concerns about The Last of Us on PC, so the studio will likely be spending the coming months getting the game to a more playable state for the majority of players.

It's not the first unintentional glitch to emerge from the PC launch of the game. Another Last of Us PC glitch turns Bill's home into a rave, which is sure to surprise many long-time players of the game. With the myriad of technical problems plaguing the PC version of the game at the moment, gamers should expect plenty more glitches like these to emerge in the coming weeks.

Fans of The Last of Us will be hoping the troubled PC launch doesn't affect the prospects of a potential Last of Us Part 3. Writer and co-president of Naughty Dog Neill Druckmann has already hinted at The Last of Us Part 3, but nothing is publicly set in stone at this point.

The Last of Us Part 1 is available on PC and PS5.
