Over a month on from the release of the highly anticipated The Last of Us Part II and the game is still at the heart of many conversations. Despite being the source of division between fans, the sequel has managed to smash sales records and many fans are still finding lots to love about The Last of Us 2.
Reactions to The Last of Us 2 have been all over the place, with many fans praising it as the best game they've ever played, while others disliked it to the point of sending death threats to the creatives. It's undeniable, however, that the game has been brought to life beautifully on the PS4 and showcases some of the most advanced graphics in gaming, particularly through the motion capture of The Last of Us 2's characters.
User @IconicNephilim has brought to life a stunning The Last of Us 2 fan poster using Photoshop. In a five minute YouTube time-lapse video, viewers can see the long process and intricate detail that went into creating the realistic work of art, that showcases all the major characters from the game in a movie style poster.
The art on Twitter was posted with Joel's iconic line "if, somehow, the lord gave me another chance at that moment... I would do it all over again," which is also a nice metaphor for some of the themes explored within the game. The poster has drawn huge praise online and was even retweeted by the game's creative director, Neil Druckmann. Other fan art for The Last of Us 2 has been similarly well received, such as an awesome pixel art recreation of Ellie.
The Naughty Dog franchise is well-known for its amazing game design, which has filled multiple official art books since its release. The game has a massive team of concept artists and designers that help bring the post-apocalyptic world to life which is likely part of the reason fans have been inspired to pay tribute to The Last of Us 2 through their own art work.
With no official word on if The Last of Us Part 3 will happen, the next thing fans have to look forward to is the HBO adaptation of the game to television. This fan poster already looks movie ready, so should the producers ever need artists or designers for the new series, they have plenty of talented fans ready to contribute.
