Occurring late last week, the developer behind the IndieGoGo-backed RPG IndivisibleLab Zero, was dissolved following allegations of abuse levied towards the studio's Lead Design Director and Programmer Mike Zaimont. According to a variety of employees working at Lab Zero, Zaimont made frequent inappropriate comments and generally created a hostile work environment for everyone involved with the studio's projects.

In response to the news that the team over at Lab Zero had been laid off, 505 Games has offerred a press release that specifically offers some answers as to what will happen to the developer's work on Indivisible. The team had a lot of plans for the popular game prior to the dissolution of the studio, however, 505 Games has confirmed that production will officially cease on the project.

According to 505, additional content for Indivisible "will not be added to the game," with a final update meant to officially close out development on October 13. The update will be exclusively for the Nintendo Switch and enhance the game to the same level as its PC, PlayStation, and Xbox counterparts. It will add Razimi's challenges, a new game plus mode, and couch co-op to the Switch copy, ensuring all ports of Indisivible are the full version and players on all platforms have, as 505 puts it, "a complete game experience."

As for what won't be coming to the title, 505 claims that the guest fighters and backer-created characters Lab Zero had originally planned have now been dropped. The statement ends on a more personal note from 505 Games, who reminds readers that Indivisible was about "diversity, inclusion, friendship, and evolution." While the publisher acknowledges that the game's demise was unfortunate, it thanks the community for the warm reception they gave the project and the support they've offered during development.

For those who didn't follow the development of Indivisible, the action-RPG was originally crowdfunded back in 2015, raising 2 million dollars and gaining a lot of traction. It officially debuted to huge acclaim last year, with the game centering around Southeast Asian mythology and taking heavy influence from classics like Super Metroid. It follows a girl called Anja with mysterious powers who must set out on an adventure to discover the source of her abilities. It managed to bag a 77 on Metacritic at release, going on to get a port on the Nintendo Switch earlier this year. With several former Lab Zero developers recently creating a new studio called Future Club, it'll be interesting to see what the talent behind Indivisible gets up to next.

Indivisible is out now on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
