One of the biggest games of the year released Tuesday in the form of Rockstar Games and Team Bondi's L.A. Noire which takes players into the thick of crime and grime 1940s Los Angeles. Playing as Cole Phelps, the single player game allows you to progress through five different ranks, offering more complicated cases at each step.

Despite highly cinematic game taking up three separate discs on the Xbox 360, there will undoubtedly be plenty of DLC to support the title post-launch. We even disappointingly heard about some of it before L.A. Noire hit store shelves.

Rockstar previously explained that some of the "desks" or chapters of the games were left out of the final version to keep the game's size down (read: charge more for them separately) so there's potentially an incredibly amount of content coming down the road. During the Best Buy midnight launch event for L.A. Noire, they handed out codes for the 'Nicholson Electroplating' DLC which we now know will be available to redeem come June 21st.

The info comes from Rockstar themselves, on a DLC code redemption page on their official site which confirms the DLC release date.

Enter the Rockstar Games Redemption Code you received from Best Buy's L.A. Noire midnight launch event to get a unique downloadable content code for the Nicholson Electroplating DLC case - available June 21st for download on Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network. Check back and enter your Rockstar Games Redemption Code on June 21st to generate your downloadable content code.

The DLC is an Arson Case but we don't know much beyond that. There are a variety of other DLC provided through pre-order bonuses from different retailers but we'll let  you know more as soon as we do.
