Following its first major project, Death Stranding, which came out almost three years ago in 2019, Kojima Productions' next major release is still almost a total mystery, even though it's been revealed that the team may have numerous projects in active development. The fact that the studio is looking to hire a number of game development veterans, however, certainly implies that there's much to look forward to in the future.

Kojima Productions, the game development studio behind Death Stranding, is now hiring dozens of new game developers, including, but not limited to, writers and producers. The specific requirements imply that the studio will continue working on high-end AAA games alongside its smaller projects, as well as suggesting a few potentially interesting tidbits for the future.

The Kojima Productions website references dozens of open positions in various branches of game development, such as the listings for a Physics Programmer or a Weapons/Mechanical Artist. Most of these call for previous experience in game production, too, as well as mentioning English language proficiency as a highly desirable skill. Given that Kojima Productions is working on anime alongside games both big and small, this implies that the studio is looking to continue delivering native-level content across the board.

It's curious that none of the listings offer much information on the sort of games that Kojima Productions may be working on. The only real piece of information available about the studio's next major project are Hideo Kojima's own cryptic tweets, the last of which claimed his next game would be "a radical project." Though, since Kojima Productions is looking into non-interactive media as well, Kojima may have been talking about an upcoming anime, instead.

These latest listings are a continuation of Kojima Productions' late-2021 hiring spree. Promising a role in creating "outrageous titles" in the AAA space, Kojima himself invited new developers to join his team at the time. With the rate at which the studio is expanding, it's plenty obvious that it's got several concurrent projects in active production. Only time will tell what exactly these might be, however.

Even though Hideo Kojima did tweet about his next project again earlier this year, there's been no official word on what it might be just yet. Fans that are still hoping for a new Silent Hill are probably going to be disappointed, but since the studio has multiple new games and other multimedia projects on the way, things are bound to be interesting at the very least.
